Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L & Bo Bunny Blog Hop - Day 5: Winter Joy Shaker Tag Tutorial

Hello! I'm back participating in Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog Hop with Bo Bunny - Day 5! There's a chance to giveaways :) This time I am sharing a shaker banner tag called Winter Joy...you can add a white cord in the back to use as an ornament or a gift tag.

I cut/embossed a ribbon tail banner twice in two different patterned papers from the Winter Wishes Collection from Bo Bunny Designs. On the beautiful Winter Wishes paper (the darker paper), I cut a rectangular window to show my shaker feature.

Using my sequin stash, I added them in to the Keepsake Envelopes Mix medium envelope and sealed the opening by taking off the small white liner to press the flap down.

Remove the liner from the back of envelope. To determine its placement, I used the window tag as a guide. In the back of the window tag, I applied Crafty Foam Tape White to the edges - keep the top liner on for now.

Now to embellish the window tag, I used a combination of Winter Wishes Combo Sticker Sheet, Winter Wishes Noteworthy Pack and Double Dot Jewels. Each piece (except the sticker on the upper left corner) was secured with Crafty Foam Tape White to give dimension and interested.

After the embellished window tag was done, take off the liner in the back and place on top of the shaker tag to create one piece. I folded the organza ribbon from the Texture Ribbon set in half, wrapped around the tag and tied a bow. (Tip: I secured the back of the bow with Dodz Adhesive Dots Small.). Here's another look...

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L & Bo Bunny Blog Hop - Day 2: Let It Snow Hot Cocoa Pocket Card Tutorial

Today I am participating in Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog Hop with Bo Bunny - Day 2!! It is also National Hot Cocoa Day so my pocket card is perfect for the occasion :) It's a "Let It Snow" pocket card with hot cocoa mix! LOL!

This is what it looks like inside...

I started with a 12 x 6" Magic patterned paper from Bo Bunny's Winter Wishes Collection to scored at 4" and 8" to create my card base. Then cut a diagonal for my pocket feature.

Tip: Not to waste the cut piece, I adhered it to the middle panel (using the pocket as a guide to align) with E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser. Then adhere the pocket by applying the E-Z Runner Ultra from left open side to the bottom edge.

For embellishments, I used Bo Bunny's Noteworthy pack which is full of wonderful assortment of die cuts so no fussy cutting for this gal! I used these below...

I wanted to use an open frame for my card front so I cut the picture inside. Set aside for later use.

I wanted to "pop up" my die cuts so I used a combination of 3D Foam Squares - White, Regular and 3D Foam Squares - Black, Small. These give the die cuts great dimension to my card front.

Tip: never waste any cut out pieces! I used the picture from the picture frame die cut and adhered it inside my card with Creative Photo Corners - Silver.

Just add hot cocoa mix and it's ready to be given away! Here's another look...

My Treasured Kutz: Joyful Christmas Tag

This is my last project as guest blogger for My Treasured Kutz, a line of detailed dies to use in your manual die cutting and embossing machine. Using Pine Bough and 3D Miniature GrandFlora Rose Flower, I created a sweet and dimensional Christmas Tag.

My inspiration was found in the pattern of my holiday themed paper, I cut them out as the focal point of the tag. Then I die-cut a combination of Pine Bough, and 3D Miniature Grand Flora Rose Flower to frame the focal point.

I first used Craft Power Tape and Pigment Powder Gold to make a three line border.

Then add the cut accents using E-Z Runner Permanent Strips and 3D Foam Squares. Next frame the bottom with Pine Bough and 3D Miniature GrandiFlora Rose Flower secure with Dodz Adhesive Dots Medium. Tie a jingle bell and mini cookie cutter together with Girlie Grunge Twine and tie to the organza bow to finish.

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Creating a Quick and Easy Thanksgiving Harvest Wine Bottle Tag

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today I'm up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog!! Did you ever have a last minute invitation to a dinner party and had nothing to bake/cook with? I will "sacrifice" my most favorite red wine for the occasion - HA! So into my craft studio I go to create a quick and easy wine tag...

For the tag base, I folded a piece of Kraft cardstock. Before I die-cut a banner shape, I placed the fold line right underneath the cut line to give it a long shape and trimmed the back. I wanted dimension to my tag so I pulled out the 3D Foam Creative Sheets and adhered my patterned paper on it before die-cutting another banner shape. See my step by step photos on how to...

Set the banner aside. Next, I die-cut my leaf and circle (opening for the bottle neck). Take out the tag base and emboss the leaf.

Ink the edge of the 3D Foam Creative Sheet banner shape and through the leaf die to highlight the embossed areas.

Wrap natural jute around the top of the banner, tie a knot and secure with a Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini.

Add 3D Foam Squares Black Mix regular squares on the back of the leaf die cut and center onto the banner.

To finish, peel off the liner in the back of banner and adhere on to the tag base. Now it's ready to hang on the wine bottle and to give! Loved how it turned out : )

Supplies:

3D Foam Creative Sheets
Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini
3D Foam Squares Black Mix
Others:
Die (Spellbinders® Creative Arts - Three's A Crowd Contour™ Steel Rule Die, Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents Set by Samantha Walker (ret.) and Standard Circle Set); Patterned Papers (Authentique Paper - Thankful Collection); Ink (Clearsnap® Inc. - ColorBox® Fluid Chalk Ink Pad in Butterscotch); Natural Jute; Kraft Cardstock; Red Wine Bottle

I wish you and your family & friends a most wonderful Thanksgiving full of good conversation and laughter!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Creating a Hoot of a Card with Adhesive Sheets!

I am on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog today! Been wanting to use this adorable die for a long time! One would shy away from all the little pieces but with Adhesive Sheets 6 x 12" from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®, this was SO EASY to create. Let me show you how - best part, no extra tools required to use these adhesive sheets.

All you have to do is apply the Adhesive Sheet to the back of your material. Just remove the liner, place your cardstock, rub to make sure it's secured (trim excess if needed) and cut with your die. It's that simple...

I used three mats as my card panel for my 5.5 x 5.5 inch card base. The bottom mat was adhered to the card base with the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser as well as the dark brown to the smaller mat. The latter mat will be adhered with Crafty Foam Tape White.

Now for the fun part, assembling the owl pieces. Just peel the liner off and place on the card panel. I HAD to use the HUGE googly eyes so I used Dodz Adhesive Dots XL from Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® line. Can you say PERFECT! LOL!

Center the card panel on the card base and it's ready to be given away...if you can, he's so cute!! Solution: make two! LOL!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Creating a Book Of Magic with Pigment Powders

Come in for a spell...I have a Boo(!)k of Magic for you! I am thrilled to show you what I created with Pigment Powder Brown and Pigment Silver from Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® line. What do you think?

I painted the paper mache book box with black chalkboard paint (three coats with dry time in between coats) on the outside and inside of the box.

Then I added crackle paint to give it interest and age it a bit. Realized that this particular product dries white! LOL! So I painted another coat of black chalkboard paint but it brought beautiful cracks. It helps to read the instructions! LOL!

While the paint dries, I trimmed cute patterned paper to fit inside the box. Before I adhered with my E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser, I edge the papers with the same black chalkboard paint.

I repeated the same process with the chipboard letters as I did with the book box, except the first coat was crackle paint and then black chalkboard paint. Lesson learned...HA!

Now for the fun part! I mixed Pigment Powder Brown and Pigment Powder Silver together with the Girlie Grunge Art Medium. To make it more of a paint, I added a little bit of water.

With a foam brush and a wet towel, I applied my paint to the book box and wiped away with the wet towel until I liked the look. The narrow areas between the letters, I applied cotton tip swabs. Let dry. Re-apply paint if needed until you get your desired look.

For the final touch, I applied a pair of googly eyes with the Dual Tip Glue Pen for a fun element.

Now to add candy or fun treat boxes like the ones here :)

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Graphic 45 Blog Hop - Day 5: Tri-Fold Scrapbook Page Tutorial

Can't get enough of Graphic 45! So today I'm back on Day 5 with a tri-fold scrapbook page using a 12 x 12" patterned papers from their Cityscapes Collection. Loved how it turned out...

First I google searched tri-fold card and found many video tutorials on it. I basically used the same measurements on the score lines (2", 4", 8" and 10"). Cut from 2" score line to the 10" score line (with 3" from the top and bottom). Accordion fold the outer edges the same way and folded opposite way for the inside portion to get my page base. The grey cardstock is a better view of the cuts/folds.

Next I cut patterned papers for the outside edges of my page. The two long sides are 1.75 x 11.75" strips. The insides are 1.75 x 2.75"(4 pcs) and 3.75 x 2.75" (2 pcs).

The middle sections were two strips of 1.75 x 5.75" and all were adhered down with the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser.

For the focal point, I picked out two sheets of patterned paper with an image of the Eiffel Tower. One as the base and the other to fussy cut and then layer with 3D Foam Square - White, Mix.

After that was done, I added 3D Foam Swirl Shapes as accents in the center. Pull the liner off and gently rubbed Pigment Powder Silver for a bit of shimmer and interest.

Since I don't like to waste what's left of the 3D Foam Swirl Shapes sheet. I cut the used areas and adhered it to the back of the focal point for dimension.

Now it's ready for display and I am so happy how it turned out! Here's a close up look...
