Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Drink Coffee Read Books Book Mark Card

This is the first time, I'm participating in the Coffee Lover Blog Hop! Made a fun bookmark card with A Jillian Vance Design Dies for the WIN! LOL! It's quick and easy.

The bookmark comes off to use. It's removable with Adhesive Dots Large Repositionable. Simply rub off the dot and use. I'll be back to update this post with a tutorial so stay tuned!

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Drink Coffee Read Books Bookmark Step Outs

First, secure the white cardstock A2-sized (4.25 x 5.5-inch) card base with Adhesive Dots Large Repositionable. I used these instead of magnets as they would get in the way of stamping the entire panel. Just rub off after stamping! Stamp the Coffee Bean Background Stamp and set aside to dry.

Next, die-cut two bookmark shapes from the Minnie Pearl Bookmark Die Set and Kraft cardstock. We're going to hinge the shapes together to clip the page as a bookmark.

Making the Hinge

For this bookmark and for shaped cards, I use this technique because it keeps the integrity of the shape. Give it a try when you make a shaped card!

Step 1. Create the hinge by scoring 0.75-inch on the long side of one of the bookmarks.
Step 2. Apply E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Dots adhesives in the scored area.
Step 3. Place the second bookmark shape on top of the hinged bookmark.
Step 4. Secure the scored area with the front bookmark to finish.

Finishing Touches

Stamp images from the Coffee and Books Stamp Set on the bookmark.

Add beige twine on the bookmark and card front. Designer's Note: I slit open the fold of the card to thread the twine.

Lastly, add Adhesive Dots Large Repositionable on the back of the bookmark and tuck behind the twine.

So fun, right? What books are you reading for the summer? I need a list! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Card Front

Fold a 12 x 6-inch cardstock in half to make a 6-inch card base. Then fold the front of the card in half at 3-inches to create the easel function.

Cut 6-inch square from the Gratitude 02 patterned paper and 5.5-inch square from the Gratitude 06 patterned paper.

Place a Creative Photo Corner in Gold on each corner.

Then place scraps of 3D Foam Creative Sheets on the back and adhere to top of the 6-inch square.

Using the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive, adhere to the lower scored area of the card base.

Inside the Card

Cut 5.5-inch square from the Gratitude 06 patterned paper. Ink the edges, add a Creative Photo Corner in Gold on each corner, and secure with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive.

Take a floral die cut from the Ephemera Pack, add a few 3D Foam Circles to the back and secure toward the end of the bottom of the square.

Embellish the Front

Cut the small cut-aparts from the Gratitude 02 patterned paper and ink the edges. Layer in an off-set style and adhere with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesives. Then adhere to the center of the card front. Then die cut the oval shape with mauve cardstock.

Die-cut several petals with the Sweet Cottage Flowers Dies Set with the green floral ORIGAMI paper. Stack the petals, and secure a pink brad in the center.

Mist with water and form the flower by scrunch each layer for a realistic look. Let dry and tap ink on the edges of the flower.

Secure the flower onto the oval die cut with a couple of Adhesive Dots Medium. Then add 3D Foam Circles on the back and adhere on the center of the card front (on top of the layered cut-aparts). Then add sequins with Adhesive Dots Micro and Sparkling Bubble Rhinestones in Light Yellow. And done!

Here's another look...

Kawaii Paper Goods: Heartfelt Thank You Ornament

This Heartfelt Thank You Ornament is part of the Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Box Volume 1 Challenge! All the details are in my previous post to see, click Thankful Cascade Mini Album Tutorial, and another challenge, HAPPY Scrapbook Layout.

The subscription box is a quarterly kit full of exclusive papers and embellishments that will not be sold outside the kit. The challenge is open to those who purchased the kit and is worldwide. The winner receives a $30 Kawaii Paper Goods gift certificate and highlighted on their social media. If you're interested in purchasing, my friends at The Button Farm can help you out!

There are five-category challenges (deadline is Saturday, 5/30) and this is my home decor entry. Are you interested? Click Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Bx Vol 1 Challenge (Public FB Post)!

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Spellbinders® Paper Arts for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Heartfelt Thank You Ornament Die Cuts

First, I nested the large and small circles together, secure with washi tape, and ran them through my die-cutting machine. This created my ring. Repeat with the green patterned paper to make a total of two rings. I cut one to intertwine and layer into one another. Pick out a die cut from the Gratitude Ephemera Pack and secure all with Adhesive Dots Medium.

Making the Flowers Come to Life

For the flowers, I die-cut the Sweet Cottage Flowers (medium and small blossoms) with the Origami Papers. The smaller flower had three layers and the larger had four layers. Thread a brad into each flower to secure. Mist with water and manipulate the petals for a realistic look. Then tap in onto the edges of the petals.

Cut off the liners from two Creative Photo Corner in Gold. They will accent the smaller flower (think leaves).

Embellishing the Rings

Place the corners on the lower-left area of the rings, using the flower as a guide. Then add an Adhesive Dot Medium on the back of the flower and adhere in between the corners.

Adhere the large flower on top of the die cut with an Adhesive Dot Medium.

Decorating the Ornament

Apply Adhesive Dots Medium randomly around the back of the rings. Then remove the top liners and adhere to the front of the plastic ornament. The ornament is a flat-round shape so it's easy to adhere.

Place 3D Foam Circles on the back of the Thank You sentiment die cut and center it on the front of the ornament.

Using Sparkling Bubble Rhinestones in Light Yellow and sequins with Adhesive Dots Micro, randomly place around the rings. Inside the ornament, add the lace trim as a filler. But you can add little trinkets, candy, or glitter instead. Thread ribbon to display!

Kawaii Paper Goods: HAPPY Scrapbook Layout Tutorial

This HAPPY Scrapbook Layout is part of the Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Box Volume 1 Challenge! All the details are in my previous post to see, click Thankful Cascade Mini Album Tutorial.

There are five-category challenges (deadline is this Monday, 5/25) and this is my 12 x 12-inch scrapbook layout entry.

HAPPY Background

I wanted to do something different with my background and a way to use up extra washi tape! Loved how this turned out :) Trim the ends of the Gratitude Washi Tape and tuck behind in the back.

Origami Rolls

Next, I rolled three different designs of Gratitude ORIGAMI papers diagonally (to make it longer) and secured with an Adhesive Dots Small on the ends. Set aside.

Layered Panel Details

I cut a panel from the Gratitude 05 patterned paper and fussy cut the frame out. I'll use the rest for another future project.

Cut 9.5 x 4.5-inch rectangle from the mauve cardstock and make a fish-tail on the left side. Then cut 5.5 x 3.75-inch rectangle from Gratitude 02 patterned paper and ink the edges of it and the small cut-aparts from Gratitude 05 patterned paper.

Add a Creative Corner in Gold on each corner of the rectangle patterned paper. Using the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive, place on a slight angle on top of the fish-tail cardstock.

Add 3D Foam Strips on all four sides of the frame and place it on top of the layer. Don't press yet as you will be tucking in more layers.

Tuck in the small cut-aparts with a combination of the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong and 3D Foam Strips. Press everything to secure.

Finishing Up the Layers

With the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive, adhere the layered cardstock to the 12 x 12 scrapbook page. Then, secure all the paper rolls on the left side of the layered frame with several Adhesive Dots Medium.

Print out your favorite photo and adhere it to the left-side of the open frame with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive.

Die-cut the oval frame shape with white cardstock and secure it on top of the rolled papers with a couple of Adhesive Dots Medium.

Add a die cut from the Gratitude Ephemera Pack with a piece of Crafty Foam Tape in White on the lower right corner of the frame.

Add sequins into a small Keepsake Envelope, take the liner off and seal the flap. After taking the back liner off, tuck it behind the photo as an accent.

This is how the layered panel looks like so far.

Working on the Embellishing

Apply mauve cardstock on a piece of 3D Creative Sheet Medium and die-cut the letters HAPPY. Take off the liner and place it underneath the layered panel.

After stacking the die cuts, secure them with a brad in the center and adhere with a couple of Adhesive Dots Medium to an oval die cut. Lightly mist the flowers with water to soften fibers and scrunch each layer to give it a more realistic look. Tap the edges of the flower and die cut circle with ink. I accented the oval die cut with Sparkling Bubble Rhinestones in Light Yellow.

Lastly, I die-cut a small heart with 3D Foam Creative Sheet Small.

After adding it to the H, peel off the top liner and apply gold glitter foil on top (color side UP) from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Holographic. Rub the foil with the fingertip to transfer the color. I randomly added sequins with Adhesive Dots Micro and some Sparkling Bubble Rhinestones in Light Yellow. And Done!
