PinkFresh Studio DEC23 Challenge: Layered Warmest Wishes Snowflake Card

Hi, friends! I recently purchased the Folk Snowflake set which I fell in love with. It includes the Folk Snowflake Clear Stamp Set, its coordinating die set, and its layering stencil sheets. AND PinkFresh Studio posted their December monthly challenge...this is my first time to participate!

When I saw this design, I knew I wanted to pair it with the soft blue sweater patterned paper that I've been keeping for a special project - this one! LOL!

First I stamped, die-cut, and ink stenciled to create one muted color snowflake shape. It was so easy to do. I did this twice as I wanted to cut one and layer one on top of a whole snowflake shape.

To highlight and stand out the snowflake, I die-cut with the Folk Snowflake Die in the gold mirror cardstock and then cut it in half to peek behind the focal point.

Using the E-Z Dots® Repositionable Refillable Dispenser, I adhered the gold mirror cardstock behind the snowflake. I use this adhesive because the placement might need repositioning many times...which it did! LOL!

For the second snowflake, I trimmed off the tips and then outlined the edges with a black marker to highlight the shape. Then add a small 3D Foam Circle White in the center back and secure it on top of the main snowflake shape.

After shaping the second snowflake, I centered it on top of the larger snowflake and lastly, I covered a combination of 3D Foam Circles White Mix and Crafty Foam Tape in Black 108ft. on the back of the large snowflake. I love the subtle lift of the Crafty Foam Tape because of its subtle 1/32" height (half of 1/16" that is in the Crafty Foam Tape 54ft. Set it aside. Let's work on the card layers!

I am using a pearl shimmer cardstock to create a side-fold A2-sized (4.25 x 5.5-inch) card base. For extra shine, I trimmed the gold mirror cardstock to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8-inch. I found the perfect patterned paper for the card front, a soft blue sweater design which was cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8-inch.

Stamp sentiment on a 4 1/8 x 1-inch strip of vellum. Using the layered snowflake to determine placement, I adhered the sentiment toward the bottom of the card front with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine (aka the Vellum Runner). Then secure the layered snowflake above it.

For the finishing touch, add pearls, bubbles, and other sparkles with the Adhesive Dots Micro.

Here's the close up...what do you think? I LOVE how this turned out!

Introducing the Amazing Paper Grace | Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes

Beautiful card front sentiments do the heavy lifting on a card and the recipient knows exactly what you are trying to say. In that spirit, today we are introducing a new collection called Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes. It spins beautiful, intertwined calligraphic words into a compact label shape, perfect for the front of your card.

***Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.***

Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Inspiration
Many Amazing Paper Grace followers were so thrilled when the first 3D Vignettes with word inserts came out. Over time, our followers have asked for a greater variety of words to fit into the 3D Vignette apertures. Your wish is our command!

Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection
The Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection is made up of 7 different die sets and a stamp set. Most sets contain a sentiment and a filigree background layer. Each set makes it quite easy to produce a complete card. The bonus is the sentiment shapes each match an existing 3D Vignette. Along with being able to complete a card, the new sentiments will allow another sentiment to existing 3D Vignettes already in your stash. Romantic Chargeour works with all the sentiments.

Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection also contains an "inside" sentiment set that matches the thought on the outside of the card. To top off the collection we've included Petite Floral Potpourri. It's a compilation of all the small flowers and leaves that are most requested by our community.

My Projects for Today

Using the S5-458 Happy Anniversary Vignette Etched Die Set, I created a shaped card and accented the card front with some of the flowers and sprig from the S3-420 Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Die Set. Also, inside the card I stamped a sentiment from the STP-058 Beautiful Inside and Out Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

S5-458 Happy Anniversary Vignette Etched Die Set

STP-058 Beautiful Inside and Out Sentiments Clear Stamp Set

My second project features a 6 x 6-inch box that I created from a combination of online tutorials so do a search and find one that you like. Using the same die sets, I made a box topper/double ribbon slide to go with the shaped card. It is popped up with Crafty Foam Tape over a three-layered box front. LOVED how this turned out!

Designers Tip: The sentiment from the SKU is very delicate so I used the Adhesive Sheets on the back of the papers before die-cutting the shape. It's less messy than liquid glue and you get edge-to-edge adhesive coverage (think sticker).

There five-category challenges (deadline is tomorrow, 10/29) and this is my scrapbook page entry. Click Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Bx Vol 2 Challenge (Public FB Post) for details!

**I receive products from Spellbinders® Paper Arts, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Celebrate Scrapbook Page Step Outs

I cut a combination of patterned papers, origami papers, and a piece of white cardstock that I wrapped the washi tape around to create another patterned layer. To embellish the page, I grabbed a couple of ephemera pieces and a bonus overlay frame.

Adhere all the layers with E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser onto the page.

Then on the overlay frame, I applied the E-Z Runner Micro - it's perfect for narrow areas. Lightly place on top of the layered mat as a picture will be tucked behind it.

Next die-cut an intricate doily shape in white cardstock twice. Cut one in half and leave the other whole.

Run the E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Dots behind each. When I forget to use the Adhesive Sheet, I apply the permanent dot adhesive as it will hit only the die cut shape so it's easy to adhere.

Tuck the whole shape behind the layered mat on the upper right corner. Place the half shape on the lower-left corner to layer the ephemera with.

Stamp Celebrate from the clear stamp set in the kit on a scrap piece of Time to Celebrate 05 paper. Cut into a banner strip with a ribbon tail on it. Adhere it below the layered mat and by the half doily shape.

Now for the details. After adhere the rose bouquet ephemera, lift and adhere the camera ephemera with scraps of 3D Foam Circles (no waste! lol!). I added some twine behind it before adhering.

I randomly added sequins around the page with Adhesive Dots Small.

Like the sequins, I place 3D Foam Stars and foiled them. This is so easy to do! Just take off the top liner, place the foil color side up over the exposed adhesive and rub. Peel it off to get these wonderful foiled stars.

Lastly, I randomly added a combination of light purple, light green, and clear sparkly bubbles.

I hope you enjoyed this project. If you haven't already, please follow me on the blog or my ILscraps Instagram.

I appreciate you stopping by! Thank You!

Kawaii Paper Goods: Washi Birthday Balloon Card

This Washi Birthday Balloon Card is part of the Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Box Volume 2 Challenge! All the details are in my previous post, click: Celebrate Tea & Treat Holder post.

What is Kawaii Paper Goods? They are a NEW paper company from Japan and have the most kawaii (cute/adorable in Jpn) designs. The paper is about 80+ lbs and of good quality. **I receive products from Spellbinders® Paper Arts, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Washi Birthday Balloon Card

Let's start with the layers. Cut a piece of 4 x 5.25-inch patterned paper and a piece of 4-1/8 x 5-3/8-inches purple cardstock. Adhere the patterned paper on top of the purple cardstock with E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. My white cardstock card base is an A2 size (4.25 x 5.5-inch).

Die-cut a 3 x 3.5-inch balloon shape into the layered card panel. This will be the base of your focal design.

Using the washi tape, cover the balloon shape. Trim off the excess, leaving a little border. Wrap the excess border in the back to create a colorful balloon! Set aside.

Behind the layered panel, cover the entire back with Crafty Foam Tape. Then apply adhesive on the back of the balloon shape.

First, add the panel onto the card base and then add the balloon shape to complete the card front.

Now to add details. I made a bow and place it on the bottom of the balloon with an Adhesive Dot Medium. Add a few Sparkly Bubbles in Light Purple. Lastly, I added a sentiment banner from the Ephemera Pack. To pop it up, I stacked two layers of Crafty Foam Tape behind it and added it to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Give it a try! If you haven't already, please follow me on the blog or my ILscraps Instagram.

Kawaii Paper Goods: Celebrate Tea & Treat Holder

This Celebrate Tea & Treat Holder is part of the Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Box Volume 2 Challenge!

What is Kawaii Paper Goods? They are a NEW paper company from Japan and have the most kawaii (cute/adorable in Jpn) designs. The paper is about 80+ lbs and of good quality. They have retailers in the U.S. carrying their collections like my favorite online store, The Button Farm, where I purchased mine.

The subscription box is a quarterly kit full of exclusive papers and embellishments that will not be sold outside the kit. The challenge is open to those who purchased the kit and is worldwide. The winner receives a $30 Kawaii Paper Goods gift certificate and highlighted on their social media.

There five-category challenges (deadline: 10/29) and this is my DIY entry. Are you interested? Click Kawaii Paper Goods Subscription Bx Vol 2 Challenge (Public FB Post)!

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Tea & Treat Holder Base

Start with a 3 x 10-inch patterned paper piece. On the long side (10-inch side), score at 4.25-inch and 5.75-inch. Set aside.

Cut a 4 x 6-inch piece of patterned paper. On the long side (6-inch), score every half-inch. Turn the paper on the short side (4-inches) and cut in half to create two 2 x 6-inch strips. These are the side walls of the holder.

Apply Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4-inch to the first inside scored panel, skip a panel, and apply to the third panel. Repeat this on every other panel to the end. See the right side piece. I did the same on the left and turned it around. So that they are the opposite.

Next cut seven 3 x 2-inch cardstock dividers. Adhere one divider from the two ends. You will see how the divider was adhered in the second image.

Repeat with all six dividers. For the seventh divider, apply the Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4-inch on the outside flap on the ends. Then adhere accordingly. Set aside.

Making the Rosette

The fun part is to decorate the front. I thought a rosette would be a perfect accent. So I used the Origami paper pack and cut into three strips of 1.5 x 6-inches.

Then I scored each on the long side (6-inches) at every 1/4-inch. The accordion-fold starting with a mountain-fold.

I connect the three strips with Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/8-inch and made a circle. Lastly, I adhered the ends together and secured the rosette with an Adhesive Dots 3D on the back to a piece of scrap paper as its base.

I grabbed a coffee ephemera piece from the Ephemera Pack and centered it on top of the rosette with an Adhesive Dot 3D.

The Details

Going back to the holder base, I punched a decorative corner rounder to each corner, front and back. Also, on the top middle, I punched a hole to thread a ribbon to close the holder.

Using the clear stamp in the Subscription Kit, I stamped Celebrate on a 3.5 x 1-inch strip of patterned paper.

Add the sentiment to the bottom of the ephemera using an Adhesive Line.

With my E-Z Runner Grand and Ultra Strong Refill, I secured the Rosette to the front of the holder and adhered the divider section on the inside of my holder.

Add small flowers to the front with Adhesive Dots Medium and Light Pink Bubble gems in the centers.

Inside add tea bags and a couple of thin chocolate treats. Tie the ribbon into the bow on top and it's ready to give!
