JustRite Papercraft: Guest Designer Day 3

Alas, my last and third day as guest designer for JustRite® Papercraft so I thought a THANK YOU card was needed for the occasion :) For this card, I used two stamp sets: CR-03905 Lace Medallion Labels and CL-04430 Floral Flourishes Background Stamp sets.

The Card Base: I used Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock® David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking System 5½ x 5½" square white card with its smooth surface and one of my favorite shapes!  About 1 ¼" from the edge, I stamped CL-04430 Floral Flourishes Background Stamp and then cut/embossed the edge with S5-181 A2 Bracket Borders One. Next I added the ribbon and centered the button with the pearl. Layer One of card front: I stamped an image from CR-03905 Lace Medallion Labels and cut/embossed JB-10020 Nested Medallion Labels die #5 (the smallest size being #1) and adhered to the base with foam squares for dimension. Layer Two: I cut/embossed JB-10020 Nested Medallion Labels die #3 with purple cardstock, centered onto Layer Two die cut and adhered with foam squares. Layer Three: I cut/embossed over stamped sentiment with JB-03775 Antique Tags One die #1 and adhered with foam squares in the center on Layer Two die cut.

Project Supplies:
JustRite Papercraft Stamps: CL-04430 Floral Flourishes Background Stamp; CR-03905 Lace Medallion Labels
JustRite Custome Die Templates: JB-10020 Nested Medallion Labels; JB-03775 Antique Tags One
Spellbinders Die Template: S5-181 A2 Bracket Borders One
Card: Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking System
Paper: Darice Cardstock (cardstock)
Ink: TSUKINEKO (Memento/Rich Cocoa) and Ranger (Distress Ink/Dusty Concord)
Embellishment: Want2Scrap (pearls); Offray (satin ribbon)
Adhesives: ScraPerfect (Best Glue Ever) and SCRAPBOOKING ADHESIVES BY 3L (3D Foam Squares)
Other: Button

AJVD: Happy Birthday, Bunny!

Today is a special day! There are four birthdays I know that will be celebrated - LOL!! But I would like to do a shout out for a very sweet friend, Bunny Vance. She is THE driving force behind A Jillian Vance Design (AJVD) stamp company! SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BUNNY!!!! Many many SWEET WISHES to you on YOUR SPECIAL DAY!!

With this card, I challenged myself to think outside the box and use a non-birthday set so I used the Universal Zipper stamp set that really goes with the AJVD custom die, the Zipper {die}vice die.

I created a shaped card base out of Spellbinders™ Grand Nestabilities™ Grand Labels Twenty-Three and Grand Rectangles die templates with Carta Bella Devoted Collection (another out of the box challenge - lol!). The flower was created with Anemone Flower Topper die - isn't this a beautiful die template set?! My super talented friend, Marisa Job, designed it! Love it and perfect for this card. The flower center is Epiphany Craft's expoxy sticker Round 14 - a perfect fit. Lastly I embellished with Want2Scrap pearls :)

Happy birthday, Bunny! Hope Sam & Jillian treat you like a queen today!

JustRIte Papercraft: Guest Designer Day 2

I'm back for Day 2 of my guest design post at JustRite® Papercraft! Today I promised a SPRING~Y card that I titled "I am Thankful" which I am for the wonderful opportunity :0) This card is all about Samantha Walker, the fabulous designer behind one of my favorite die template set, JB-S5166 Ornate Squares and matching stamp set, SW-04425 Ornate Happiness Squares!

二日目のJustRite Papercraft ゲストDTワークスです。今日のカードは、春らしい明るい色にしました。私は、Samantha Walkerさんの デザインが好きで、彼女とJustRiteのデザインコラボで、とても幸せです!(笑)

The Card Base: I used Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock® David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking System 5½ x 5½" square yellow card. It's perfect to frame my card! Layer One of card front: I cut/embossed Spellbinders™ Grand Nestabilities® LF-126 Grand Squares die #3 (the smallest size being #1) with patterned paper and adhered to the base. Layer Two: I cut/embossed JB-S5166 Ornate Squares square die twice. I stamped the image on the lighter color die cut. Position lace the pink square as a square and the stamped square as a diamond shape onto the layer. Layer Three: Cut/embossed JB-S5166 Ornate Squares tag die with green patterned paper and stamp the image - the frame first and then the sentiments. Adhere with foam squares and center on Layer Two die cuts for dimension. Place pearls as shown.

Project Supplies:
JustRite Papercraft Stamp: SW-04425 Ornate Happiness Squares
Spellbinders Die Templates: JB-S5166 Ornate Squares; LF-126 Grand Squares

JustRite Papercraft: Guest Designer Day 1

I am THRILLED to be guest blogging for one of my favorite stamp companies, JustRite® Papercraft, for three days. Since 2006, I have been a fan so I'm just a "little" EXCITED to say the least!! Today, I want to share this "Get Well Soon" card, using a combination of two stamp sets: CL-03845 With Gratitude Labels One and CR-03625 Classic Lace Edges One.

The Card Base: I embossed with Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities™ ES-005 Enchanted Folder. Love how it looks! Layer One of card front: I stamped the border image on cream cardstock, positioning the image to fit between gaps to create a background. Next I cut/embossed with Spellbinders Card Creator Matting Basics B die #7 (the smallest die being #1) and cut the bottom edge with JB-E8007 Classic Edges One Scalloped Edge. Layer Two: I cut/embossed JustRite Custom Die Vintage Labels Four set die #5 with patterned paper and ink edges. Then adhere with foam squares for dimension. Layer Three: I stamped the image onto green patterned paper, position JustRite Custom Die Antique Labels One set die #6 over the image to cut/emboss. Adhere on top of Layer Two. Last layer: I stamped the image and sentiment onto cream cardstock, position JustRite Custom Die Antique Labels One set die #4 over the image to cut/emboss. Add thin pink satin ribbon to tie a bow and place the assembled card front onto the card base.

Project Supplies:
JustRite Papercraft Stamps: CL-03845 With Gratitude Labels One; CR-03625 Classic Lace Edges One
JustRite Custom Die Templates: JB-03830 Antique Labels One Dies; JB-04300 Vintage Labels Four Dies
Spellbinders Die Template: JB-E8007 Classic Edges One;
Paper: American Crafts (cardstock); Carta Bella (patterned paper); Authentique Paper (patterned paper)
Ink: Ranger Ink (Distress Ink/Peeled Paint)
Embellishment: Want2Scrap (pearls); Offray (ribbon)
Adhesives: ScraPerfect (Best Glue Ever); SCRAPBOOKING ADHESIVES BY 3L™ (3D Foam Squares)

Happy Valentine's Day

I've been requested to create a special Valentine's Day card from a special customer (COUGHsonCOUGH)! I decided to challenge myself and did my first easel card! LOVE how it turned out if I do say so myself! LOL!!

長男からのリクエスト: 特別なバレンタインデーカードを作てほしい。初めてのイーゼルカードを挑戦してみました!どうですか。。。上手く出来たと思います(\>0</)!

Be Mine by Margie Higuchi
Supplies - Cardstock: WorldWin Papers; Patterned Papers: Carta Bella (Devoted Collection); Stamp: JustRite PaperCraft (Antique Valentines Tags One stamp set); Ink: Clearsnap and Ranger Ink; Pearls: Want2Scrap; Dies: Spellbinders Paper Art (JBS4-356  Floral Ovals and JBE8-008 Classic Edges Two) and JustRite PaperCraft Custom Dies (JB-03990 Vintage Labels Two and JB-03775 Antique Tags One); Tools: Scor-Pal and ScraPerfect (Embellie Gellie); Adhesives: ScraPerfect (Best Glue Ever) and SCRAPBOOKING ADHESIVES By 3L (3D Foam Squares)

If you search online, you will find several tutorials on the easel card. I used SplitCoastStamper's (SCS) easel card tutorial.

You need a strip of 8½ x 4¼" cardstock and fold on the long side: 4¼" and 6⅜". Accordion fold the score lines and add a piece of 4¼" square cardstock on the 4¼" piece of the fold. Then embellish! Here's a close up of the bottom flap where the card rests on.

Have you tried an easel card? SO much fun!!

KURETAKE: Be Mine Heart Box

With Valentine's Day being around the corner, I thought I would share a KURETAKE ZIG® project using one of their box templates. It is also featured on KURETAKE ZIG Blog post today! Last time I showed this heart box template, I made a place setting that resembled a turkey! LOL!! This time I thought it would be appropriate to use as it is intended for (well, one of the themes - lol!!)...

Be Mine Heart Box by Margie Higuchi
Supplies - KURETAKE ZIG: Gift Box Template Heart, ZIG Brushable Marker (Spring Green), ZIG Fine & Chisel Marker (Pure Red)  and ZIG 2-Way Glue Chisel Tip; Patterned Papers - Authentique Paper (Lovely Collection); Stamp: JustRite PaperCraft (Ooh La La French Frill set); Dies: Spellbinders Paper Arts (S5-145 French Frills and S5-086 Bitty Blossoms); Black Rhinestones: Want2Scraps

First I traced Gift Box Template Heart with a pencil, cut the edges and scored along with the lines in the template. Then I assembled and adhered with ZIG 2-Way Glue Chisel Tip. After it dried, I used ZIG Fine & Chisel Marker (Pure Red) to outline the edges of the box.

Next I inked my image from JustRite® PaperCraft's Ooh La La French Frill stamp set with ZIG Brushable Marker (Spring Green) and stamped on to white background on the flip side of my patterned paper. Then cut/embossed with its matching die shape, S5-145/JBS5145 French Frills tag die. With my ZIG Fine & Chisel Marker (Pure Red) marker, I wrote "Be Mine."

After I cut/embossed my Bitty Blossom die and rolled the blossom, I assembled all my embellishment onto the box front. Now I need to add my...er, his favorite candy and I'm good to give away!

Here's a second look at the box :)

So what are you creating for Valentine's Day? Please share and link me up in the comments!
