After I painted the door hanger in Chalkboard Paint (use two coats - allow dry time for each coat), stencil using Whipped Spackle and let dry.
Paint over the stenciled area with a coat of Chalkboard Paint - LOVE the embossed look of the design!
After the paint dried, I colored the embossed area with Design Memory Craft® Gelatos® - Gold Champagne. Tip: outline the area and spread the color with your finger towards the middle. Add color until you get your desired look. What a stunning backdrop as we start to layer on more items!
Add 4" Black Diamond Mesh Classics trim around the bottom area of hanger (see image) and secure with Extreme Double-Sided Tape ½" Permanent.
Add three clear rhinestones on the lower left corner as accents, using your Tool 'n One.
Add Tiny Gold Sequins (aren't they cute?!) with Dodz™ - Small (I tore them into smaller pieces) and adhered them.
Using several Dodz™ - 3D, I adhered my Crystal Wheat Spray/Gold Glitter Flowers cluster to create the focal point of the project. The combination of gold, glitter and the sprays against the trim make a stunning design :)
For a more personal touch, I added an initial in gold to the project by adhering gold mirror cardstock to 3D Foam Creative Sheet and cut/emboss with a letter die template. Place on top of the sequined area to finish.
Here is another look...
