**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Spellbinders® Paper Arts for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

HAPPY Background

I wanted to do something different with my background and a way to use up extra washi tape! Loved how this turned out :) Trim the ends of the Gratitude Washi Tape and tuck behind in the back.

Origami Rolls

Next, I rolled three different designs of Gratitude ORIGAMI papers diagonally (to make it longer) and secured with an Adhesive Dots Small on the ends. Set aside.

Layered Panel Details

I cut a panel from the Gratitude 05 patterned paper and fussy cut the frame out. I'll use the rest for another future project.

Cut 9.5 x 4.5-inch rectangle from the mauve cardstock and make a fish-tail on the left side. Then cut 5.5 x 3.75-inch rectangle from Gratitude 02 patterned paper and ink the edges of it and the small cut-aparts from Gratitude 05 patterned paper.

Add a Creative Corner in Gold on each corner of the rectangle patterned paper. Using the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive, place on a slight angle on top of the fish-tail cardstock.

Add 3D Foam Strips on all four sides of the frame and place it on top of the layer. Don't press yet as you will be tucking in more layers.

Tuck in the small cut-aparts with a combination of the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong and 3D Foam Strips. Press everything to secure.

Finishing Up the Layers

With the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive, adhere the layered cardstock to the 12 x 12 scrapbook page. Then, secure all the paper rolls on the left side of the layered frame with several Adhesive Dots Medium.

Print out your favorite photo and adhere it to the left-side of the open frame with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive.

Die-cut the oval frame shape with white cardstock and secure it on top of the rolled papers with a couple of Adhesive Dots Medium.

Add a die cut from the Gratitude Ephemera Pack with a piece of Crafty Foam Tape in White on the lower right corner of the frame.

Add sequins into a small Keepsake Envelope, take the liner off and seal the flap. After taking the back liner off, tuck it behind the photo as an accent.

This is how the layered panel looks like so far.

Working on the Embellishing

Apply mauve cardstock on a piece of 3D Creative Sheet Medium and die-cut the letters HAPPY. Take off the liner and place it underneath the layered panel.

After stacking the die cuts, secure them with a brad in the center and adhere with a couple of Adhesive Dots Medium to an oval die cut. Lightly mist the flowers with water to soften fibers and scrunch each layer to give it a more realistic look. Tap the edges of the flower and die cut circle with ink. I accented the oval die cut with Sparkling Bubble Rhinestones in Light Yellow.

Lastly, I die-cut a small heart with 3D Foam Creative Sheet Small.

After adding it to the H, peel off the top liner and apply gold glitter foil on top (color side UP) from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Holographic. Rub the foil with the fingertip to transfer the color. I randomly added sequins with Adhesive Dots Micro and some Sparkling Bubble Rhinestones in Light Yellow. And Done!

DIY Paper May Day Basket Tutorial

My friends inspired me to do this May Day project. The paper basket tutorial was shared by my talented Japanese paper crafter friend, Kimiko, in her Instagram Live. Friend Vicki Chrisman is doing a series of May Day-themed basket so I thought I'd join in.

**I receive products from PhotoPlay Paper Co. and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Paper May Day Basket Basics

From a 12 x 12-inch patterned paper, I cut a 9-inch square piece.

On each side, I scored at 3-inch and 6-inch which gives you a tic-tack-toe scored lines or a hashtag :)

On one side, cut three one-inch strips on the first and last scored square. This is the B-side (backside) of the patterned paper - may be easier to see?

I gather the three strips together on the upper-left corner and stapled them. This causes it to curve to make the sides of the basket. Repeat the step on the lower-left corner.

Bring the ends together to form one straight edge on the top. If there is excess when it overlaps, trim them off. Secure the ends with a couple of Adhesive Dots Large on each stapled side. Repeat these steps on the opposite side to form the walls.

Now let's finish the base by adhering the middle panel to the sides with the E-Z Runner Grand Dispenser and E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong Refill. If it's over the edge like mine, you can either fold over and adhere or I just trimmed mine off with scissors. Set aside.

Basket Handle

From the leftover patterned paper, cut a 1.5 x 12-inch strip and from pink cardstock, cut a 1 x 12-inch strip. Adhere the pink strip on top of the patterned paper strip with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong.

Designer's Note: curl the strips before adhering - it makes it easier to adhere and to work with.

Now to embellish! First, I marked a line where the basket sides will meet the handle (I will adhere to the inside of the basket). Using a variety of small and regular size 3D Foam Circles, I randomly placed them between the lines. Keep the top liners on for now.

Once I was happy with the placement, I can start to foil them one by one. Using the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Variety set, I picked out three colors: turquoise, purple, and magenta. Take the top liner off, place the foil on top with color side UP, and then gently burnish with your fingertips to transfer the color. It doesn't take much pressure. Lift the foil off to see the beautiful results!

Lastly, erase the lines with an eraser and apply with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong below the line before adhering to the inside of the basket.

Embellishing the Basket Front

Let me show you a fast and easy way to make a shaker feature for the front. A layered base is created first, cut a 3-inch square from green patterned paper, 2.75-inch square in pink cardstock, 2.5-inch square floral patterned paper, and 2-inch square green patterned paper. Note that all the patterned paper is from the leftover basket base.

Place a Creative Photo Corner in White on each corner of the 2.75-inch square pink cardstock and adhere on top of the 3-inch square green patterned paper.

Apply a strip of E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong on the back of the 2.5-inch square floral patterned paper before slipping into the Creative Photo Corner.

Take the smallest Keepsake Envelope and slip the 2-inch square green patterned paper inside. Next, add sequins inside the envelope and in front of the patterned paper. Remove the flap liner and close the envelope. Remove the back liner of the envelope and center on top of the layered base.

Place a 3D Foam Butterfly on top of the envelope to permanently seal the flap. Using the foiling steps mentioned, foil the butterfly. Add a white pearl in its center. Set aside.

Final Touches

To finish off the edges of the basket, I added a pretty lace trim with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8-inch.

Next, adhere the layered shaker panel with Crafty Foam Tape to lift and to give some dimension. Fill it with candy! Well, really flowers but didn't have any to add...you get the point. LOL!

Thanks for stopping in and Happy May Day!

Asuka Studio: Sweet Forest Friends Card and Bag Set

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE~!!
Hope you all are having an amazing time with friends and family.

For December's Asuka Studio DT works, I am featuring the Blooming Everyday Collection. It is Asuka's debut paper collection that also included a set of cards, Forest Friends Cards Set. I thought it would cute to put them into something other than its plastic packaging. What do you think?

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co. and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Sweet Blooming Everyday Bag Step Outs

First, cut out two bag pieces from Bag n Tag It die set using MP-58894 12x12 Blooming Everyday Tea Time Patterned Paper. Using E-Z Runner Grand with E-Z Grand Ultra Strong Refill, assemble the bag together.

Next, die-cut the Sweet card from the MP-58685 Forest Friends Cards Set using the Classic Oval die. Then die-cut MP-58890 12x12 Blooming Everyday Memories Patterned Paper with the Scalloped Circle die. With the same adhesive, layer the ovals together (scalloped oval die cut on the bottom). Add a MP-59016 Sparkly Bubble Rhinestone Light Purple to each scallop. Set aside.

Add MP-58887 Forest Friends 2 Washi Tape 25mm x 10m to the lower area of the bag front and wrap a narrow light pink ribbon around the bag in the middle of the washi tape. I used an Adhesive Dot Small to keep the ribbon in place on the back of the bag. When tieing a knot, I used an Adhesive Dot Small. I forgot to take a picture so here's an example.

To adhere the layered oval on the bag front, I used 3D Foam Circles regular size. With an Adhesive Dot 3D, I added on my clear bead flower. Now you just add your MP-58685 Forest Friends Cards Set to make a pretty presentation!
