InkyStamper: Creepin' It Real Treat Box and Friend

Halloween is next month and I wanted to feature this Spider Stamp and Die set from InkStamper to mark the occasion! Using sparkle and googly eyes, I think the treat box and dimensional spider turned out super cute. What do you think?

**I receive products from InkyStamper and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Treat Box Steps

First stamp on piece of orange cardstock. I used the treat box die as a guide to determine placement of the web. Then die-cut the box in your manual die-cutting machine.

On the inside back area, I stamped eyes stamp with black ink. To give them sparkle and a little interest, I applied glitter glue to the eyeballs. Set aside to dry.

On vellum, I stamped the Creepin' It Real sentiment in black ink and cut into a strip with a ribbon tail on one end. Adhere with E-Z Runner Permanent Fine (perfect for vellum) on the box front.

Here Comes the Spider

Stamp one spider image with VersaMark Ink. Cover with white embossing powder, tap off the excess, and melt with a heating tool. Die-cut with its coordinating die. Then die-cut another one in black cardstock.

Score the black spider about 0.25-inches from the top. Add adhesive in the scored area and line up the embossed spider in the front to make one shape. Press the adhesive to secure. Now you have a dimensional spider that stands!

Put them together and you have an ensemble!

Add a little treat and you're done!

As always, thanks for stopping in!

Amazing Paper Grace: Introducing the Halloween Collection

Create some BOOtiful creations with a new collection from Amazing Paper Grace – The Halloween Collection.  It's super SPOOKY cute!

**I receive products from Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken, Spellbinders® Paper Arts, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

The Halloween Collection Details
This Halloween Collection includes three thin metal die sets They can be used separately or mix and match with each set in the collection. It goes especially well with the popular S6-153 Charming Cottage Box die set as you will see while hopping through.

My Project for Today:

For my Webbed Boo Card, I am using a die designed by Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace called S3-405 Spooky Boo, available at Spellbinders Paper Arts.

Die-cut the spider web design from the S3-405 Spooky Boo set eight times with black cardstock. Adhere on the corners and create a diamond shape in the center with the E-Z Grand Permanent Dots adhesive. Cut the Boo from silver mirror cardstock. Adhere and lift with 3D Foam Strips in the center.

Die-cut five blossoms from S4-1025 Sweet Cottage Flowers die with purple cardstock. Water mist the blossoms to soften and shape them. When dry, layer them with Adhesive Dots Medium. Using an Adhesive Dot 3D, secure the flower and beaded vines to the card.

For a playful accent, place the black spider die cut on one of the spider webs in the corner.

Designer Tip:  Die cut all the pieces in your die set. It gives you a visual to play around and maybe think outside the box when designing your card creations!

My Second Project:

Since this Halloween sets go well with the S6-153 Charming Cottage Box die set, I paired it with the S3-405 Spooky Boo set. Found some themed shaker elements and decided to make a shaker treat box. Isn't it cute?

On top, I added a flower element from S6-050 Cinch and Go Flowers die set and purple cardstock. After water misting and shaping, I secured the center with an orange brad topped with orange Stickles. With a purple bow and flourish accent, I adhered them with an Adhesive Dot 3D.

I hope you enjoyed my two projects. They were so fun to create! Follow my blog for more creations coming up!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Creating a Book Of Magic with Pigment Powders

Come in for a spell...I have a Boo(!)k of Magic for you! I am thrilled to show you what I created with Pigment Powder Brown and Pigment Silver from Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® line. What do you think?

I painted the paper mache book box with black chalkboard paint (three coats with dry time in between coats) on the outside and inside of the box.

Then I added crackle paint to give it interest and age it a bit. Realized that this particular product dries white! LOL! So I painted another coat of black chalkboard paint but it brought beautiful cracks. It helps to read the instructions! LOL!

While the paint dries, I trimmed cute patterned paper to fit inside the box. Before I adhered with my E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser, I edge the papers with the same black chalkboard paint.

I repeated the same process with the chipboard letters as I did with the book box, except the first coat was crackle paint and then black chalkboard paint. Lesson learned...HA!

Now for the fun part! I mixed Pigment Powder Brown and Pigment Powder Silver together with the Girlie Grunge Art Medium. To make it more of a paint, I added a little bit of water.

With a foam brush and a wet towel, I applied my paint to the book box and wiped away with the wet towel until I liked the look. The narrow areas between the letters, I applied cotton tip swabs. Let dry. Re-apply paint if needed until you get your desired look.

For the final touch, I applied a pair of googly eyes with the Dual Tip Glue Pen for a fun element.

Now to add candy or fun treat boxes like the ones here :)

Halloween Burlap BOO Banner

Today, I wanted to share my Halloween Burlap BOO Banner! So I collected most of my supplies at my Michaels Store in Schaumburg (IL) - SHOUT OUT to them!! This is what I created....

Project Supplies:
Paper - Strathmore® (Mixed Media Pad), DCWV (Burlap Paper Pad) and DoodleBug Designs (Haunted Manor Collection)
Dies - A Jillian Vance Design Custom Dies by Spellbinders® (Banner {die}tails Nested Die Set) and Spellbinders® Creative Arts (S4-333 Spider Web (retired), S5-053 Pumpkin Accents and the Grand Calibur Machine)
Stamp - JustRite® Papercraft (Spider Web Background Cling Stamp)
Inks – IMAGINE Craft®/TSUKINEKO® (Memento Luxe - Wedding Dress)
Coloring - Faber Castell® Design Memory Craft® Gelatos® (Mango and Tangerine), Chalkboard Paint, Pastel Pencils (White and Orange) and Stamper's Big Brush Pens (Walnut Brown, Orange Glaze and Permanent Green Olive)
Tools - Fiskars® (Amplify™ Mixed Media Scissors) and We R Memory Keepers (Crop-A-Dile)
Glitter - Ranger Ink (Stickles)
Trim - May Arts (Green Netting and Ghost) and Recollections (Jute)
Adhesives - SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L® (Crafty Power Tape, 3D Foam Squares and Dodz™ Medium)
Other: Googlie Eyes

Let's get started...
I started with the top panel (the letters) since they were embellished the most... I used Mixed Media paper because it can handle anything - water, paint, coloring, stamping...EVERYTHING! LOL!

For colors, I blended my Faber Castell® Design Memory Craft® Gelatos® in two colors (Mango & Tangerine) and my water mister. LOVE how it turned out and so easy :)

Next I add these amazing self-adhesive and re-positionable stencils from Hazel & Ruby. You can use them over and over again! They come in different alphas and shapes. I used Blindside set.

Then I covered the entire surface with black chalkboard paint. For my banner, I did about three coats with dry time in between coats. While damp, I took off the letters and wipe them clean with a baby wipe. Set aside all to dry.

As those panels are drying, I cut and embossed the base banner using burlap paper from DCWV with my ribbon tail dies and the Grand Calibur Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

OR hand cut your banners using Fiskars Amplify Mixed Media Scissors - cuts like BUTTAH!!

Pictured below are some ways I embellished the top panels of my banner....stamping, cut/embossing dies, stenciling, coloring and punching holes for the jute.

Another look at the finished project...

A majority of materials were purchased at my local Michaels Store! I finally used up my gift card that I had for at least two years - LOL!

With the gift giving season being around the corner, I became aware of Raise and their cool concept!

"Now more than ever, people need to get the most out of their money. Raise helps put the purchase power back into the hands of the consumer, and that’s what giving yourself a raise is all about." - George Bousis, Founder & CEO

I love that! What is Raise? Raise is an online gift card marketplace where you can sell gift cards for cash or buy discount gift cards to all of your favorite brands. Launched in 2013, Raise.com makes changes in the gift card industry. Saving money is often associated with discounts so they are setting out to redefine the conversation. Interested? GO check them out - they have Michaels gift cards as well as other craft gift cards!!

Hope everyone has a FUN & SAFE Halloween! Excited to see some cute goulies at our doorstep!

Thanks for stopping by!
