Christmas Sentiment Tree Card

Hello! I've got a fun idea of creating a holiday tree full of Christmas sentiment strips! Emily Moore Designs generously created three sheets of Christmas Sayings (FREE DOWNLOADABLE) sentiments and made them into free downloads for friends to use. It also coordinates with her Card Sentiment Dies :) Thank You, Emily!! 

The same day that I downloaded them, I went out for a Chinese lunch with hubby, and guess what was my fortune cookie message ("You will soon receive an (un)usual gift freely given. Accept!")...LOL!! It's a sign! 

This is the card I created...what do you think? I loved how it turned out :) 

After all the sentiments were die-cut into strips and squares from her Card Sentiment Dies, gather up the slimline card base in white cardstock and the front card panel cut to fit the base. How? Just trim the purple and white speckle patterned paper from the A2 Card Base Paper Pack to 4.25 x 8.5-inch. Adhere with the E-Z Dot® Repositionable adhesive. I love using this adhesive - it's forgiving. Just peel the panel off and reposition!

Create a long triangle template from copy paper to fit the card, and adhere it with the E-Z Dot® Repositionable to the pink/purple marble patterned paper from the A2 Card Base Paper Pack. Use a paper trimmer to cut the triangle shape out because I can't cut a straight line! LOL! With the same adhesive, center the triangle on the card front.

Using the cut triangle as the base, add the sentiment strips in the desired design and secure with the E-Z Dot® Repositionable.

Add the last touches of gems with the Adhesive Dots Micro and foil the 3D Foam Stars with the silver sheet from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Celebrate. Remove the liner place the foil (color side facing you) and rub to transfer the color to the stars. Reapply the foil in missed areas.

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter 2022: Choose JOY Holiday Card

The Coffee Lovers Community is having its Fall/Winter 2022 event and I thought I would jump in on the fun! Using mostly Distress Oxide in Salvaged Patina and Flamingo Pink with the Dots Stencil, I created a holiday card with a whimsy touch!

Choose JOY Holiday Card Panel

Cut a 3.75 x 5-inch white card panel and stencil the Dots Stencil for a dotted background with Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina. Let dry. On the upper left corner and lower right corner, add a combination of  Adhesive Dots Mini and Micro. Cover with teal glitter, press to secure, and tap off excess. 

With the 4 x 5.25-inch pink cardstock, ink its edges with Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo. Adhere the panels together with the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong adhesive.

Embellish the Mug

Die-cut the mug, its insert, candy cane, its insert, and marshmallow shapes from white cardstock. Ink and shade the mug with Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina. The white cardstock was inked with Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo, and Frayed Burlap before die-cutting the candy cane and mug insert, respectively.

Place the 3D Foam Snowflake onto the mug. Remove the top liner, cover with teal glitter, press to secure, and tap off the excess. So pretty!

Die-cut marshmallows in a combination of white cardstock, vellum, and 3D Foam Creative Sheets. Adhere the vellum shape to the top of the white cardstock shape. Cover white glitter on top of the foam shape, using the same glitter steps as the 3D Snowflake.

Assemble the mug pieces, and place the assembled mug on the card panel with a combination of the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong adhesive and the Dual Tip Glue Pen (for candy cane and mug handle).

Choose JOY Everyday Sentiment

Stamp the sentiment on pink cardstock with black ink. Cut it into a dual ribbon tail strip, and ink the edges with Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo. Then secure it on the card front with 3D Foam Strips.

Amazing Paper Grace Seasonal Label Motifs: Holiday Lantern Card

With the holiday coming soon, I started on my Christmas card making with this beautiful Holiday Label Motifs set with many layers! What do you think?

Today's holiday card was created from etched dies supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 13 thin metal cutting dies included in the Holiday Label Motifs set from the Seasonal Label Motifs Collection by Becca Feeken with Spellbinders Paper Arts.

This standard A2 card has triple cardstock layers and two layers of 3D Foam Creative Sheets die-cut with the outer label and the inner label dies. The larger outer label is covered with gold glitter and the smaller inner label is covered with foil. They give a stunning texture and effect to the card front.

Add the die-cut embellishments in the same set, and the Creative Photo Corners in gold to finish...Done! I loved how it turned out! What do you think?

Amazing Paper Grace | Holiday Medley Intro Blog Hop

My Projects for Today

Featuring the S4-1130 Silver Bells Dimensional Doily set, I created three bell shapes to better show off this sweet set. Like Becca's other Dimensional Doily series, you just die-cut, fold each side, and slide into the slits to lock them into place.

My 5x7-inch card features a vellum shaker card panel which I accented the upper right corner with the three Bells Dimensional Doily. See the gold backing? I die-cut with gold mirror cardstock to show off the intricate design of the bells.

The other card is a 6-inch square card which I added half of a round dimensional doily. Both cards have the S4-960 Cinch and Go Poinsettia flower. Just love this flower die set! I hope these cards get you into the holiday spirit!

Designer's Tip: You can cut three bell shapes at the same time. Make sure to secure the insert die with washi tape to avoid slippage when die-cutting.

InkyStamper: Rosie Snow Angel Ornament

Hello Paper Crafters and Merry Christmas Eve! I am sharing a fun interactive ornament featuring Snow Angel Stamp + Die Set from Inky Stamper!AND it's interactive thanks to the Like to Move It Dies and Clear Move Its Set. :)

Creating the Rosie Snow Angel

Stamp Rose Snow Angel twice on white cardstock. In the first stamped image I die-cut Rosie out with its matching die. 

For the second one, I only inked the snow angel part so you can see a faint Rosie in that image. I did this on purpose so that I can place Rosie precisely. Then I cut a circle around it - think snowball.

The vellum was cut from a 3-inch circle die. This will be the background.

Prep the Ornament

Pour a good amount of the Dual Tip Glue Pen into a plastic ornament. Spread the glue on one side by turning the ornament back 'n forth to cover. Next, add the mica flakes into the ornament and apply it the same way. Pour out the excess and let dry.

Making Snowballs

On the edge of the vellum circle, apply Dual Tip Glue Pen all the way around it. Then sprinkle the mica flakes to cover the glue. Tap the circle to take off any excess mica. Adhere the circle with the E-Z Runner Permanent Fine to the front of the ornament. 

Die-cut the round shape from the Like to Move It Dies in the center of the stamped white cardstock circle. Then add Crafty Foam Tape on the back. Snap in a Clear Move It before adhering to the circle to the ornament. Secure Rosie where the Clear Move It is with an Adhesive Dot Medium to finish the front of the ornament.

InkyStamper: Snowman Mixed Media ATC Card

Hello Paper Crafters! I am sharing a cardmaking idea today featuring the NEW Snowman Stamp and Die Set from Inky Stamper. Do you create ATC (Artist Trading Cards)? This snowman design was so cute that I was inspired to make a card around a mixed media ATC design in my head. Let me share with you my idea.

Making the ATC Background

I used a piece of 2.5 x 3.5-inch mixed media paper to create my ATC. The background was colored with three Gelatos and then blended with a baby wipe. Keep layering colors until you get the desired look. Let dry.

Next, stencil with a dotted pattern stencil and molding paste - just around the top like snowflakes falling. Set aside to dry. Let's work on stamping.

Stamping the Snowman

Stamp the Snowman from the Snowman Stamp and Die Set out of white cardstock and cut with its matching die.

Color the Snowman with a combination of Gelatos and watercolor pencils.

Stamp the snowflake with black ink randomly on the ATC. Designer's Note: Using the snowman die cut as a guide, it would help how to figure out where to stamp the snowflake. Adhere the snowman die cut with the E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. 

Layering Up and Final Assemble

After I created a top-fold A2 size purple card base, it was embossed with a dot design embossing folder. It kind of matches my dot stencil. LOL! The ATC needed to be matted so I cut a piece of white cardstock to 3 x 4-inch. Center and lift it onto the embossed card base with leftover scraps of 3D Foam Creative Sheets.

Finally, I added my Snowman Mixed Media ATC on top of the layered card base. If the recipient wanted to take out the ATC, it won't be a problem because I used Adhesive Dots Large Repositionable! You can take it off and on many times without damage to your ATC. Clever, no? LOL!

InkyStamper: Had Me at Hot Chocolate Card

Hello Paper Crafters! I am sharing a unique interactive card today featuring the NEW Snowman Stamp and Die Set from Inky Stamper!

**I receive products from InkyStamper and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Making the Card Base

To make a pocket card, I will use a piece of 12 x 5.5-inch light green cardstock. On the long side (12-inch), scored at 4-inch and 8-inch. This will give you three panels to work with. Fold the scored lines and cut the last panel in a diagonal as shown in the picture below.

Apply E-Z Runner Micro to the right edge and bottom edge of the diagonal panel. Then fold over to the second panel and burnish the adhesive area with a bone folder to secure. Set aside to work on the card panels.

Creating the Card Front

Cut two card panels: red patterned paper to 3.5 x 5-inches and green patterned paper to 3.75 x 5.25-inches. Adhere the green patterned paper to the card base.

Next, stamp four snowflakes and mugs from the Snowman Stamp and Die Set. Die-cut the snowflakes with its matching die and fussy cut the mugs.

Stamp the sentiment with black ink on white cardstock and cut a strip with a fishtail end. Using the strip as a guide, cut a slightly larger strip with the same green patterned paper as the panel. Adhere together.

Using the stamped images and layered sentiment strip as guides, determine placement on the red card panel. Behind the stamped images, die-cut circles using the circle dies from the Like to Move It Die Set.

Snap the Clear Move-Its in all the circles. Then in between the gaps, add in two layers of Crafty Foam Tape Black. You don't have to use as much as I did but I wanted mine solid. LOL!

I LOVE the Clear Move-Its! They coordinate with the Like to Move It Die Set to move in place to sliding back 'n forth, depending on how your die-cut the track.

To finish off, center the card panel on top of the card base. Adhere the stamped images on top of the Clear Move-Its with Adhesive Dots Small and add a clear rhinestone in the middle. Then pop up the mug next to the sentiment.

For the inside, I covered with patterned paper on the pocket, foiled a 3D Foam Snowflake and added a snowflake stamped image with a clear rhinestone.

On the other side, I add a matted message area accented with four Creative Photo Corners in Silver and stamped a sentiment from the Snowman Stamp and Die Set.
