Amazing Paper Grace | Holiday Medley Intro Blog Hop

This magical menagerie of dies helps celebrate one of the most festive times of the year through paper crafting! The Holiday Medley Collection consists of eight die sets and a Glimmer Hot Foil Plate Set that coordinates with one of the die sets. The array of dies can be mixed within existing die sets to offer more creative options. These include the Make a Scene Card Base and 3D Vignettes. The versatile new Merry Filigree Card Builder, Celebrate Scrollwork Card Builder and Joy Crescent Card Builder sets create different card formats from A2, A7, Mini Slimline, to Slimline. In addition, you can remove the Christmas Motifs and use them year-round. Visit each of the designers’ blogs for inspiration and ideas from the Holiday Medley Collection!

Today's projects were created with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

My Projects for Today

Featuring the S4-1130 Silver Bells Dimensional Doily set, I created three bell shapes to better show off this sweet set. Like Becca's other Dimensional Doily series, you just die-cut, fold each side, and slide into the slits to lock them into place.

My 5x7-inch card features a vellum shaker card panel which I accented the upper right corner with the three Bells Dimensional Doily. See the gold backing? I die-cut with gold mirror cardstock to show off the intricate design of the bells.

The other card is a 6-inch square card which I added half of a round dimensional doily. Both cards have the S4-960 Cinch and Go Poinsettia flower. Just love this flower die set! I hope these cards get you into the holiday spirit!

Designer's Tip: You can cut three bell shapes at the same time. Make sure to secure the insert die with washi tape to avoid slippage when die-cutting.

InkyStamper: OWL You Do Shaker Panel Card

One of my favorite interactive cards is the shaker card. There are many ways to create one but I love how Chelsea of InkyStamper made with the entire card panel - WoW! So I decided to make one and LOVE how it looks! Give it a try.

**I receive products from InkyStamper, PhotoPlay Paper, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Shaker Panel Card Steps

Score 1/4-inch each side of a piece of Clear Card Panel and miter all four corners to a snug fit around a 3 3/4 x 5-inch patterned paper card panel. Apply Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4-inch (red line tape) on all sides of the patterned paper panel (the backside).

Take off three sides of the red line tape and place it on top of the Clear Card Panel. The clear tabs should hug into the tape on the patterned paper panel. This should create a pocket with the top open to fill sequins.

Fill with sequins but before closing the shake panel, I die-cut about six leaves from the Owl Stamp and Die Set with the same cardstock used for the card base. Take off the liner and close the panel.

Card Layers

Create a top-fold card base and adhere a piece of 4 x 5 1/4-inch patterned paper card panel with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong adhesive. Then add the shaker panel on top using the red line tape for a strong hold.

Card Details

Stamp the sentiment, the owl, and the leaf images from the Owl Stamp and Die Set with black ink. Die-cut the owl and the leaf with its coordinating die. Note I changed the owl to Kraft cardstock and added another Kraft color leaf to the card.

On the upper right corner, add the two leaves. Adhere one flat and the other lift with a 3D Foam Strip.

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L + Lawn Fawn Blog Hop: Joy to the Woods Shaker Card

Today I'm up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog for their blog hop with Lawn Fawn. Excited to share with you all a shaker card with lots of glitter and more glitter! LOL! Using a lot of Crafty Foam Tape and 3D Foam Creative Sheets, I came up with this sweet shaker card. What do you think?

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Lawn Fawn® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use :) **

Stamp on Glitter!

Trim the 3D Foam Creative Sheets to fit the Joy to the Woods Tree Dies to cut on. Then die-cut with your manual die-cutting machine. Take the top liner off and cover with white glitter. Make sure to gently rub into the sheet.

Using the Adhesive Dots Large Repositionable, place one behind the die cut to secure in place while stamping with black ink. Simply rub off after stamping. Love stamping on glitter!

Parts of the shaker.

Take another sheet of 3D Foam Creative Sheets (my frame was too big for one sheet so take another sheet and trim it down to size, using the etched dies as a guide), place on my blue glitter cardstock and trim to fit the dies.

Next, nest the two etched dies together to create an open frame with light blue glitter paper. Secure with washi tape before die-cutting into your machine. Die-cut a solid rectangle shape with patterned paper and a slightly larger solid rectangle shape with acetate.

Making Shaker Details.

Placed a USED 3D Foam Shape sheet (I used 3D Foam Snowflake) behind the patterned paper rectangle for dimension. So don't throw away your used foam sheets! Set aside.

Then place the clear acetate over the open frame and apply Crafty Foam Tape over it, make sure the corners are tight so that no loose sequins fall out.

Inside the Shaker.

Add 3D Foam Snowflake in the upper right corner of the rectangle panel and sprinkle blue glitter. Then secure a couple of the sequins with Adhesive Dots Micro so that some will not fall down to the bottom when standing up the card.

Assemble the shaker.

Add the frame (take off the liner) and place on top of the rectangle full of loose and fixed sequins. Take off liner on the back of patterned rectangle, place the shaker on top of the grey card base. Next, adhere the glittered tree die cuts on the front with stamped sentiment vellum banner applied with E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and some of the tips I shared! Have fun hopping along all week :)

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: You're A Star Shaker Card from Creativation 2017

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share a window shaker card created with Keepsake Envelope Mix as an easy shaker feature on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog! I had the honor of designing all three make and take projects for Creativation 2017 (formerly CHA - Craft & Hobby Assoc.) trade show in Phoenix AZ last month. Let me show how to create this fun interactive card!

**As a part of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Design Team, I receive products for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use :) **

To make the card base, die-cut a square on an A2 (4.25 x 5.5 in) size card front to create a window/opening. Stamp banner and sentiment. Color the banner with watercolor pencils (or coloring pencils). Set aside.

To make the shaker feature, cut patterned paper to fit inside a large Keepsake Envelope. Scoop enough sequins to fill the spoon’s bottom and place in front of patterned paper, inside the envelope.

Take out four sequins to use on the card front later. Take the liner off from the envelope and close the flap. Set aside.

Apply the E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser close to the edge of the window as possible (to secure in place).

Curl the ends of the Keepsake Envelope liner together to make a “handle” for easy placement over the window. DO NOT REMOVE THE LINER YET – use it to adhere the adhesive edges together to secure.

Add white cardstock panel to cover shaker by applying E-Z Runner® Grand Dispenser on the edges of cardstock. Remove liner of Keepsake Envelope and place white cardstock over to cover the entire back cover of card.

Now for the fun part, embellish card front! Pull out the points of largest 3D Foam Star FIRST gently with a tooth pick WITH LINER ON (helps keep its shape). Place on top of the shaker in any way (straight, angle, etc.).

Remove the liner from the 3D Foam Star and place the foil shiny side up. Gently burnish into the star with your finger and lift the foil. For the finishing touch, add your sequins to accent the card front with a combination of Adhesive Dots Mini and new Adhesive Dots Micro.
