Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter 2023: Warm Hugs & Hot Cocoa Card

The Coffee Lovers Community is having its Fall/Winter 2023 event and I thought I would dust off my blog to join the fun! Using the Wilderness Collection by KNC Essentials, I created a sweet and whimsy look.

Warm Hugs & Hot Cocoa Card Layers

Fold in half an 8.5 x 5.5-inch white cardstock to a side-fold card base. Cut a piece of 4.25 x 5.5-inch patterned paper to cover the card base and adhere with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Die-cut a patterned paper with the Gift Card Holder Die. This will be the card panel.

Card Panel Breakdown

Cut a 3 x 4-inch cut apart Warm Hug to 2.25 x 3.5-inch to fit into the Gift Card Holder. Diagonally cut another 3 x 4-inch cut apart and trim off until it fits behind the Warm Hugs cut apart. Secure all with the E-Z Dots® Repositionable Refillable Dispenser. It's perfect for shifting and determining placement on the card panel.

Embellish the Card Panel

Adhere the bubbles, sequins, and other elements on the card panel with the Adhesive Dots Mini.

Finishing Off

Pop up the card panel to the card base with the Crafty Foam Tape in Black 108ft. I love the subtle lift this tape has with its 1/32" height (half of 1/16" that is in the Crafty Foam Tape 54ft.).

Take another look at your cut apart papers and see if you can create a layered card like mine. I hope you enjoyed my photo tutorial! Wanna join in? Click: Fall/Winter 2023 event.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter 2022: Choose JOY Holiday Card

The Coffee Lovers Community is having its Fall/Winter 2022 event and I thought I would jump in on the fun! Using mostly Distress Oxide in Salvaged Patina and Flamingo Pink with the Dots Stencil, I created a holiday card with a whimsy touch!

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and Kraft n Creativity for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and by doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Choose JOY Holiday Card Panel

Cut a 3.75 x 5-inch white card panel and stencil the Dots Stencil for a dotted background with Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina. Let dry. On the upper left corner and lower right corner, add a combination of  Adhesive Dots Mini and Micro. Cover with teal glitter, press to secure, and tap off excess.

With the 4 x 5.25-inch pink cardstock, ink its edges with Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo. Adhere the panels together with the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong adhesive.

Embellish the Mug

Die-cut the mug, its insert, candy cane, its insert, and marshmallow shapes from white cardstock. Ink and shade the mug with Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina. The white cardstock was inked with Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo, and Frayed Burlap before die-cutting the candy cane and mug insert, respectively.

Place the 3D Foam Snowflake onto the mug. Remove the top liner, cover with teal glitter, press to secure, and tap off the excess. So pretty!

Die-cut marshmallows in a combination of white cardstock, vellum, and 3D Foam Creative Sheets. Adhere the vellum shape to the top of the white cardstock shape. Cover white glitter on top of the foam shape, using the same glitter steps as the 3D Snowflake.

Assemble the mug pieces, and place the assembled mug on the card panel with a combination of the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong adhesive and the Dual Tip Glue Pen (for candy cane and mug handle).

Choose JOY Everyday Sentiment

Stamp the sentiment on pink cardstock with black ink. Cut it into a dual ribbon tail strip, and ink the edges with Distress Oxide Ink in Kitsch Flamingo. Then secure it on the card front with 3D Foam Strips.

I had such a wonderful time playing with this new die set inspired by all the items I had in my stash. What a fun start to my holiday cardmaking! Hope you enjoyed my process. Wanna join in? Click: Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter 2022 Event!

Have a great week!

Amazing Paper Grace April 2022 Die of the Month Blog Hop: Spring Thanks 3D Vignette Ensemble

This sweet watering can with flowers bursting is a great reminder of spring! What a way to say thanks to someone special that included a wonderful dimensional element to display for all to see!

Today's ensemble was created with thin metal dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace designed by Becca Feeken!

There are 15 dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Watering Can Bouquet.

My Projects for Today's Hop: Pop Up 3D Vignette Watering Can Bouquet Display

Let's start with this sweet display! What a wonderful way to decorate your home with a watering can full of spring flowers. It can be popped up when taken out of the envelope. The embossed design was inked first before die-cutting and then inked a little bit more.

Using up scraps of patterned papers and cardstock, I assembled eight blossoms. Many ways to create these flowers and I lifted the embossed centers with foam adhesives for more dimension. Added pearls for more embellishing including the heart from the S5-484 Primrose Heart Facade Etched Dies which is part of the Garden Shutters Collection.

7 x 5-inch Eyelet Thanks Card

What's a gift without a card?! I wanted the watering can to stand out so I made the background all white with cardstock. Isn't this S6-184 Eyelet Lace Frame Etched Dies beautiful? It is also from the Garden Shutters Collection. To tie in the pearls, I accented the centers of the flower patterns.

The watering can and spring flowers were assembled the same way but without tall stems. Some of the flowers were lifted with foam adhesives for varying heights. Using foam adhesive sheets and patterned paper, I die-cut Thanks from S4-1148 Sweet Sayings Notecard Sentiments Etched Dies which is from the Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection. I love the font and the size. Now it's ready to send!

Amazing Paper Grace: November Die of the Month with Christmas Tree Gatefold Card

Although there are many ways to create with this wonderful Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree set, I made mine as a gatefold card with the split between the two larger trees. This was so much FUN to create especially using papers like silver mirror cardstock and red glitter paper, and the perfect bling (Christmas Lights Bling) to decorate the tree! Let's get started.

Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 21 dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree.

My Project Today using Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree.
On a piece of 8.5 x 5.5-inch cream cardstock, score on the long side at 2 1/8-inch and 6 3/8-inch and burnish the score lines to create your A2-size (4.25 x 5.5-inch) gatefold card base.

Cut two pieces of 2 1/8 x 5.5-inches patterned paper and cover/adhere it to each side of the gatefold panels with the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive. Set Aside.

Let's work on the embellishments. Die-cut the smallest tree in green for the outline die and nest with the insert die to cut the silver mirror cardstock. Die-cut the medium tree in silver mirror cardstock for the outline die and nest the insert die to cut the green cardstock. You should have a total of four tree shapes. Adhere the matching shapes together to form two trees.

For the base of the presents and bows, I die-cut with silver mirror cardstock. Using various scraps of patterned paper, I die-cut the different boxes and lids. Not shown here but I die-cut the ornaments in cream cardstock and red glitter paper. Assemble everything together and set aside to work on the sentiment.

I decided to place the sentiment over the pile of presents. With the busy patterns, I chose to use cream cardstock for my sentiment strip, nest the banner, and insert dies together to die-cut. Then die-cut the banner outline die in silver mirror cardstock. Add bling to accent. Use 3D Foam Strips to adhere it on top of the presents.

Assemble the card front with all the embellishments, starting with the trees. The medium tree goes on the right gatefold panel. Use the other tree and present sentiment as a guide when determining placement. Both trees overhung the middle edge (mark with a pencil, if needed as you can erase later). I used the E-Z Runner Grand Ultra Strong adhesive. It is perfect for paper construction projects like this.

Lastly, I added the Christmas Lights Bling, it was perfect for my tree because it needed something! LOL! It is self-adhesive and easy to cut so I can place them where I wanted.

And that's it! All done and ready to send out. I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Tree Gatefold Card tutorial.

Thanks for stopping in!

Amazing Paper Grace September Die of the Month Blog Hop – Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register

Cha-ching! Is there any living person that hasn't absolutely been intrigued by a Cash Register and all of its compartments and treasure it holds inside? As kids, it's one of the first grown up toys we played with. The sound of a cash register ringing means prosperity and so many good things. Say welcome to the Amazing Paper Grace September 2021 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.

The light-hearted, pun-filled sentiments are perfect for any occasion, to send this 3D Fold Flat card. Want to let someone know how valuable they are to you? Then the "Priceless" sentiment will say that loud and clear. Want to express your opinion? Then actually you're looking for the "Just My .02" sentiment. It's so cute, there's even a front drawer where you can actually fold and put in some currency.

Here are some ideas that might inspire you to create:
1. Make the traditional cash register and stock it with gift cards.
2. Make a basket from both facades for donations or as a friendly tip jar.
3. Are you in the middle of a fundraiser? Use it as a table favor to break the ice.
4. Create a mini album with a cash register on the front and back for kids to record their savings.

**Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.**

There are 16 dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.

My Project Today using Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.

The card is a gatefold card base and its cover is the Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register. The cash register is created with soft colors to match the patterned paper I had just gotten. I lifted up some of the machine parts with 3D Foam adhesive and small pearls for interest.

Designer Tip: Take advantage of the beautiful embossing design on the cash register body by lightly misting with water on the cardstock before die-cutting. It will loosen the paper fibers for a better imprint. Also, lightly sand the die cut shape to bring out the raised areas.

For my second project, I created a gift pocket and embellished the front with the vintage cash register. I kept it simple and with no layers but accented with flowers from  Love how it turned out. I'm thinking about filling it with goodies and a gift card or two.

How cute would this be if was a door hanger decoration? So many options with this Die of the Month set from Amazing Paper Grace!

I hope you enjoyed my Priceless Gift Ensemble. Pictured below are my projects together. It was fun to assemble and even more fun to giveaway! Thanks for stopping by!
