Easter Blessings Mixed Media Tag

Wishing you all peace and happiness during these extraordinary times. As we are under the "Shelter in Place" mandate in IL, I decompress by playing with my art supplies during my free time.

Today I am sharing an Easter Blessings tag created with colors from Jane Davenport with Spellbinders® Paper Arts. Using die cuts and patterned papers on my desk, this is what I came up with...let me show you!

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co., Spellbinders® Paper Arts, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Easter Blessings Tag Basics

I covered a manila shipping tag with white paint front and back - couldn't find my gesso! LOL!

Fussy cut little tags from the MP-60140 Peter's World C-7-13 patterned paper. Then using a leftover piece of Adhesive Sheets 12 x 12-inch, I applied the adhesive on the back of each little tag. Then place them on the painted tag. Refer to the image for my placement. Trim off excess.

Next cover the front with white paint and paint brush. Let Dry.

Coloring the Background

Color the tag with three colors, I used from the bottom: Eccentric, Deep Vain, and French Kiss from the ColorStick Silky Skin set. Blend the colors with a moist Blend in Blender sponge. Layer more color until you get the desired look. Let Dry.

After the layer dried, I used a dot stencil with the Ocean Eyes DramaStick Waterproof Pencil Crayons in Spark (White) color. Make sure the dry time is long since it's an oil base. I dried it overnight. The next day, I created splatters by flicking a couple of Mermaid Markers in BlueBottle and Deep Sea colors for added interest.

Embellishing the Tag

Now the fun part, layering die cuts and paper cuts! First I started with a frame that I fussed cut a while ago from the MP-60263 A4 So Sweet One pattern paper. Adhere it with 3D Foam Strips - it's perfect for narrow areas to adhere to. Secured on a tilted angle in the center of the tag.

Add the leaves and vine sprigs die cuts to the left inside of the frame with Adhesive Dots Small.

I had a rolled blue spiral flower so I added it between the leaves and sprigs with an Adhesive Dot Large. Even on a painted surface, these adhesive dots work well!

Using 3D Foam Strips, I secured a little tag under the flower and added a blue rhinestone on top.

I stamped and die-cut an Easter sentiment on white cardstock. Then placed a pink rhinestone and 3D Foam Strip before adding it to the bottom of the tag.

Next, I adhered a butterfly die cut on the frame with an Adhesive Dot Small and added three pink rhinestones on the body. I also added blue and pink rhinestones randomly around the tag for more sparkle!

Lastly, I didn't like the ribbons I had so I colored a 10-inch white ribbon in Deep Sea, JellyFish, and StarFish from the Mermaid Markers set with water. Add more layers of color for the desired look. Let dry, thread through the opening and tie a bow. Done!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Creating Dimensional Hippity Hop Easter Card

Happy Easter Greetings to you all! Today I'm on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog sharing this sweet Easter card full of dimension using 3D Foam Squares and adhered with a combination of E-Z Runner® Grand and Adhesive Dots Micro to showcase an adorable bunny image from Flourishes LC. I've added layers of Spellbinders® die cuts and My Mind's Eye patterned papers to finish the look.

**I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®, Spellbinders® Paper Arts and Flourishes LC for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use :) **

Let's start by stamping the bunny in the Vintage Easter stamp set with black ink. Color the bunny with watercolor pencils. I used pink for tender areas of the bunny and then layered with brown color. After I achieved my look, I fussy cut the bunny.

I outlined the edges of the bunny with black watercolor pencil. Note the difference between the right (edged with black watercolor pencil) and the left (without the edging).

Stamped my sentiment onto patterned paper with black ink, using a stamp positioning tool.

With the bunny shape as a guide, I was able to determine where to place my Spellbinders oval die template. To frame the oval shape, I used a Scalloped Oval. Now to cut and emboss with my die-cutting and embossing machine.

The bunny popped up with dimension with 3D Foam Squares - Black Mix. Some I cut in half to fit around its ears and feet! Place it on top of the oval die cut.

The scalloped oval and oval die cuts were adhered together with E-Z Runner® Grand.

I also stamped a sentiment and egg accent design inside the card to make it more personal.

The sweet floral trim was secured with Adhesive Dots Micro in each center of the flower and placed it across toward the bottom of the card front. Then added a mini self-adhesive pearl on each exposed flower center.

Lastly I added a combination of Regular and Small sizes from 3D Foam Squares - Black Mix to the back of the matted bunny oval (leave room for the trim). Center onto card front and you're done! Another look...

Embellished Filigree Easter Egg Tutorial

Wanted to share this Easter Egg Box I embellished - picked up it up at JoAnn Fabric & Craft Store - so pretty with the filigree top!

Recently I received a box of paints from Testors® Corp from a bloggers' event I attended at CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) trade show in January. They had a beautiful selection of paints. I paired one of them with Authentique Paper, one of my favorite paper manufacturers, newest Cuddle Boy Collection and it was a perfect match! What do you think?

I painted the filigree box top with Testors® Craft Paint in Island Breeze, about two coats (dry time between coats). Set aside to dry.

While the top dried, I traced the detachable back of the box top with Cuddle Boy Five patterned paper and pencil. Trim with scissors and adhere using Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Girlie Grunge Art Medium. Set aside to dry.

Paint two coats on the top and bottom edges of the box. Dry time for each coat. Set aside. With two 1.75 x 12" strip of Cuddle Boy Five patterned paper, paint the edges so it blends into the painted areas of the box.

Adhere the strips of patterned paper on the side of box with Girlie Grunge Art Medium. Let dry and trim off the excess paper. Repeat the same process for the box top sides with two 1 x 12" strip of Cuddle Boy Three patterned paper.

Die-cut Spellbinders® Reflections Die with green striped patterned paper. Place Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® 3D Easter Shapes Bunny in the center of die cut. Remove liner and sprinkle Stampdenous Micro Glitter. Press firmly and shake off excess glitter.

Use Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz™ Small (clear double-sided adhesive dot) to secure the embellished die cut on to the box top.

Fill with "grass" (I cut some leftover green patterned paper with a fringed scissors) and candy.

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Easter Shape Bunny Tag Tutorial

Today I am on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog! Since it's the day before Easter, I thought I would share a QUICK & EASY 3D Foam Easter Shape Tag. So for those last minute folks (COUGHmeCOUGH), this is for you - LOL!

Did you know you can use many different kinds of mediums to apply ON TOP of your 3D Foam Shapes? Mediums such as glitter, foil, pigment powder, flock and more. I tried our Pigment Powder - Brown (for chocolate eggs = YUM!) and purple micro beads. Totally impressed on how the micro beads stuck on the bunny shape and love the texture it created.

KURETAKE: Easter Eggs

Happy Easter! I took some plastic eggs and do a quick but simple decor using KURETAKE ZIG® 2-Way Glue Chisel Tip and ZIG Art & Graphic Twin markers. This is what I came up with...

I brushed some Gesso onto the eggs. It took about two to three coats. Make sure you dry between coats for good coverage.

Next I used ZIG Art & Graphic Twin set of four Kind Hearted Tones purple and pink markers to color the eggs. I love how it covers the surface and such beautiful vibrant colors!

With the ZIG 2 Way Glue Chisel Tip, I drew lines for the pink and dots for the purple egg. Your tip will catch color so I swipe the tip on a scrap piece of paper and it transfers all that color off...it doesn't take much. Then I covered the area with fine glitter of a similar color for a monotone effect.

Let the glitter dry. In the meantime, I created a simple egg stand using a 2 x 6" strip of patterned paper cut/embossed with Spellbinders™ Edgeabilities® border die and adhered the ends to create a ring.

Here's a second look...

So if you are pinched for time, try this idea!
Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful Easter with family and friends :)
