Asuka Studio: Happy Birthday Card with a Flip Corner

I love creating these fun fold cards. They make cards so interesting. Today, I am making a flip corner card featuring Watercolor Splash Lavender Sky Paper and the NEW Forest Friends Berry Stamp Set.

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co. and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Create the Corner Flip Fold

Start with a piece of 8.5 x 5.5-inch Watercolor Splash Lavender Sky Paper and score at 4.25-inch to create an A2 (4.25 x 5.5-inch) card base.

On the long side, align the left edge with 3-inch mark and place the cut blade of the paper trimmer at 2.5-inch and cut down to 4 7/8-inch.

On the short side, align the left edge at the 3-inch mark and the cut blade should meet the cut line at the 3-inch mark. Cut a line from the 3-inch mark up to the 5/8-inch mark.

To make the corner flip feature, pull the top corner of the partially cut corner to the middle of the card front. With a bone fold, fold in half to finish. To secure the corner in place, I used E-Z Runner Ultra (see circled area in the image).

Embellish the Card

Cut 2.75 x 2.75-inch square lilac cardstock and 2.5 x 2.5-inch square Watercolor Splash Lavender Sky Paper. Ink the edges of the squares and the upper right outer corner of the flip corner with Angel Pink Ink.

On the 2.5-inch square, stamp "Happy Birthday" sentiment with black ink and a music bar above the "Happy" in Angel Pink ink. Both stamps are from the Forest Friends Berry Stamp Set. Next, adhere on top of the 2.75-inch lilac square.

Then adhere the layered square to the flip corner of the card base with E-Z Runner Ultra.

For the finishing touch on the square, add the Balloon die cut from the So Sweet Ephemera pack with 3D Foam Circles White in small size.

To create interest, stamp the musical bar across the bottom of the card front as a border with the Angel Pink ink.

Inside the Card

Cut 4 x 5.25-inch lilac cardstock and 3.75 x 5-inch ivory cardstock. Ink the edges of the ivory panel with the Angel Pink ink before layering together. Secure on the inside of the card with E-Z Runner Ultra. Lastly, on the lower right corner, stamp the musical bar image with the Angel Pink ink.

How fun is this? Try this fun fold card for your next card making project!
