Core'dinations: David Tutera Celebrate on HSN!

Hey folks! We're in spring break and I have a TON of deadlines to finish so I didn't get to see much of David Tutera™ Celebrate (DTC) Cardmaking System on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) a couple of days ago. Lucky for me that they have samples and videos up on their site! LOL!!

Here he is in action and I can see some of my artwork from VERY FAR!! LOL!!!

Not much opportunity to have your artwork shown on TV so this was my few seconds of fame! HA! Last time my projects appeared on HSN was 2006 on National Scrapbook Day! LOL!! Thanks for letting me brag :)

For the Blog Hop, I created a card using two products from Faber-Castell: GRIP WaterColor EcoPencils and Gelatos® Color 4ct - Yellow (Colors: Butter Cream, Lemon, Mango and Tangerine). From JustRite Papercraft, I used Antique Damask Background Stamp and Floral Vintage Labels Two Stamp Set.

Faber-Castellの水彩色鉛筆や、ジェラトスを使ってカードを作りました。とても楽しいかったです！是非試して下さいね。

I stamped the flower image three times with StazOn Jet Black ink. Then I fussy cut each flower (one entire image, one medium size and one small) to create layers.

Next color each cut layer with Faber-Castell's WaterColor Pencils. Then use a water brush to blend and soften the colors. I used 3D Foam Squares to make each layer dimensional and added Flower Soft Lavender texture in the center. Set aside to dry.

For the background, I stamped Antique Damask Background Stamp with VersaMark ink and loaded on Detailed White Embossing Powder and heat set the entire image.

I love the ombre look (graduation of color - shading of same color tones from dark to light) so when I heard about the blog hop, it was the perfect technique to try. The set had all the colors to make that easy! I added each color in quarters on the background stamp...

Then I used my mini mister and lightly sprayed over the area. Taking the paper towel, I buffed a little. The coloring was a little lighter than I liked so I added more Gelato and rubbed in with my finger for the desired look. Don't be afraid to add on or take off. It's a forgiving medium to use!

Next I cut/embossed with A2 Matting Basics A die #7 (the smallest size being #1)...

Then I cut a strip of 5 x 1⅛" purple patterned paper and cut a tail at the end. I didn't like the white edges so I penciled in with purple WaterColor EcoPencil and then blended with the water brush.

Using the sentiment from Floral Vintage Labels Two, I stamped first and then cut/embossed with Labels Four die #2 over the image. Assemble as shown in picture...

AJVD: Springtacular Blog Hop

The theme of the blog hop is anything PASTEL! I used a combination of Sunburst Swirl Background Builder Stamp and Bloom'n Trio stamp set.

After stamping the Sunburst Swirl Background Builder Stamp with Memento's Dandelion ink, I took several layers of white tissue paper (on the non-shiny side) and inked my dotted blossom image of the Bloom'n Trio stamp set several times. Since I couldn't find my Blossom Three die template, I just cut them out with scissors while watching TV! LOL!!

I poked a hole in the middle of six layers and inserted a pink brad. Next I gave the blossom dimension by wrinkling the layers and adhered on the card as shown. Stamp your sentiment and add some bling. It's ready to send out!

KURETAKE: You're Special Book Mark

Today I am featured on KURETAKE ZIG® Blog called You're Special Book Mark post! Using their ZIG Art & Graphic Twin set (Kind Heart Tones), I came up with this...

I took a white book mark from Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock® David Tutera™ Celebrate Cardmaking System and some of his Step3 embellishments (sentiment sticker, circle, butterfly and bling). I used all four colors in ZIG Art & Graphic Twin set by coloring a fourth each of this beautiful Garden Gate Background Stamp from JustRite® Papercraft to create an ombre effect.

Next I prepared the embellishment to use as a center piece by layering the embossed dots circle which was sanded first, next the butterfly was adhere in the middle to the circle using ZIG 2-Way Glue Chisel Tip and then add the bling.

I centered the layered embellishment to the upper part of the book mark with ZIG 2-Way Glue Chisel Tip and added the sentiment sticker. Now it's ready to hold a place in a book!

JustRite: Grand Damask Notebook

Today I am sharing my project using JustRite® Papercraft March 2013 Release Graceful Monogram and Grand Damask Background Stamp sets to create an elegant notebook. What a great gift for someone who to planning a wedding or even make it into a scrapbook :)

３月の新しいスタンプセット(Graceful Monogram and Grand Damask Background Stamp Sets)の紹介です。スタンプを使って ノートブックを（又はミニアルバムにも） 作りました。 Spellbinders Media Mixage Line (Mixed Media向けの商品) Bezelもつけて、エレガントな感じかな～。

For the notebook cover, I heat embossed the Grand Damask Background Stamp with pink embossing powder. Loved how the pink just pops against that black cardstock :)

Next I played with Spellbinders™ newest collection, the Media Mixáge™ Line. Did you know Graceful Monogram stamp set fits into some of their bezels?! I am using MB2-007 Circles One bezel #2 (the smallest size is #1) to frame the cameo image. I cut/embossed with its matching die templates, MD1-007 Circles One die #3 over the stamped image. Then added glitter to the stamped cameo. To frame the bezel cup, I stamped the floral frame image and fussy cut to fit. See below...

Since I wasn't planning on using a jeweler's resin or sealer, I needed to "lift" the cameo image with 3D Foam Squares to give it the desired depth in my embellishment. Next I added gems and pearls as accents, using my Embellie Gellie tool to pick up all those gems!

Next I cut two pieces of chipboard for notebook covers, painted the edges in black and covered all with patterned papers. I threaded a ¾" black organza ribbon through the bezel loops. I secured the ribbon onto the back of the bezels with Dodz™ (glue rounds) and then use more Dodz to secure the bezel onto the Grand Damask cover.

This is how I will have my pages set up. I used my Bind-It-All to punch holes and bind the notebook together.

I used the "M" and flourish frame images to create a charm with Shrink Plastic and cut with S4-110 Classic Ovals LG die #4. Don't forget to punch that hole on top :)

Add the charm and trinket pins with the bow on the binding wire - it's ready to give away...not sure I want to give THIS one away! LOL!! Here's another look...

JustRite: Fabulous Birthday

Hi, all! Wanted to thank everyone for their warm welcome and comments about my new DT position with JustRite® Papercraft - THANK YOU!!! Today I created a card using their newest March 2013 release, Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two. Since it's my mother's birthday, I am dedicating this card to her! Happy Birthday, Mom!!! xo

３月の新しいスタンプの紹介(Part 2)です。Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two. を使ってカードを作りました。今日は母の誕生日もあり、ハッピバースディのテーマにしました。Vintage Labels Two と　Antique Tags Oneのダイも使いました。お母さんへ、お誕生日おめでとうございます！

I used Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two with its matching die set, Vintage Labels Two. For the sentiment, I used Antique Tags One die set.

For the center piece of the card, I stamped the image first with white cardstock and then I placed Vintage Labels Two #3 die (the smallest size being #1) over the image to cut/emboss.

The die cut was kept inside the die, I colored with watercolor pencils and used a waterbrush to blend the colors. After it dried, I colored the background with Memento Ink's Dandelion for a soft background.

On the 5½ x 5½" square card front, I layered Fancy Lattice Expandable die cut, strip of purple cardstock and patterned paper before adding the matted center piece. For the sentiment, I stamped and then placed the Antique Tags One die over it to cut/emboss (I used a different patterned paper in this picture but I think you get the point - lol!). Place as shown in finished picture and add three yellow blings.

JustRite: Thinking of You

I am SO excited to share the good news with you all - I am the newest member of the JustRite® Papercraft design team!!!! They have the most talented designers in the industry so I'm a bit nervous but they are the most NICEST bunch of people to work with - I am SO honored!

Also today, I am introducing JustRite® Papercraft's newest March 2013 release called Winged Vintage Labels Two & Three set.

Using this set, I created this "Thinking of You" card. Love how it turned out and how the design fits so well with the die templates!

Cutting/embossing the card base edge with A2 Scallop Borders One and adding A2 Filigree Delight created a perfect backdrop for the stamped images and matching Vintage Labels Two and A2 Filigree Delight tag die cuts. Just add pearls, button and ribbon for the final touches.
