Asuka Studio: Paper Weave Thank You Card

For a little bit of a unique background, I decided to weave my strip of patterned paper for interest and texture. Have you done this before? Paper Weave Instructions

First, cut pink cardstock, Watercolor Splash Sunset Orange patterned paper and Watercolor Splash Sunset Orange (blue/purple in the corner) patterned paper to 5 x 4-inches. With just the patterned papers, cut into 1/2-inch strips as shown in the image.

Apply a strip of E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Strips on the left side of the pink cardstock (the card panel). Then place strips of Watercolor Splash Sunset Orange (blue/purple in the corner) patterned paper with one end on top of the adhesive all the way down to the bottom.

With each strip of Watercolor Splash Sunset Orange patterned paper, weave between the strips of blue/purple patterned paper already on the card panel. I started from the left to right.

The first strip I tuck under and then weave over the second row. Repeat until the end.

With the second strip, do the opposite. Start by placing over the first row and then tuck under the second row. Repeat. Make sure your column of strips is straight. Go all the way to the end.

When the weave is completed, adhere the ends with the E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Strips. Trim the weaved card panel to 4.75 x 3.75-inch.

Place several 3D Foam Squares White in regular size on the back of the card panel. Remove the top liners and adhere onto a 5 x 4-inch coral cardstock card panel.

I folded a piece of 8.5 x 5.5-inch ivory cardstock in half to create a top fold card and placed the layered card panel on top.

Now for the fun part - embellishing! I picked out the cute bunny in the Forest Friends Die Cuts Pack. Next, I cut a strip of 5.75 x 1.25-inch coral cardstock (the same as the card panel) and cut the ends into fishtails.

With a strip of 4 x 1-inch ivory cardstock, stamp "Thank you" from the MP-60162 Forest Friends Acrylic Clear Stamp in pink ink. Cut a fishtail on its right end and adhere it on the coral cardstock banner (make sure to leave space on the left side for the bunny die cut).

Adhere the layered banner on top of the card base towards the bottom section.

Using leftovers from a used sheet of 3D Foam Circles, I cut a strip and added behind the bunny die cut from the MP-58996 Forest Friends Die Cuts Pack. Adhere the bunny die cut on the left side of the sentiment banner.

Lastly, add a few of the Sparkly Bubble Rhinestone Clear in the areas of the card as shown in the picture. They are easy to use and are self-adhesive.
