JustRite: May 2013 Release Day 1!

I am excited about the May 2013 Release because JustRite® Papercraft added some "boy" themed sets - yeah, mom of boys (COUGHmeCOUGH)!! LOL!! But today, we are introducing the Irises Vintage Labels Four set which has a matching die set, Vintage Labels Four Dies.

When I first saw this design, a window card popped into my head! This is what I came up with for a Mother's Day card!

For the card base, I embossed with Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities™ EL-002 Regal Folder. This folder had a similar lattice design and goes well with the image. Then I cut a window using Vintage Labels Four Dies Small Oval die in the center.

The image was stamped three times on two different patterned papers and one white cardstock. I cut/embossed the stamped yellow patterned paper with Vintage Labels Four Die and cut the center out (yes, I cut into the Iris flower! LOL!) with the Small Oval die.

The stamped green patterned paper, I also cut/embossed with Vintage Labels Four Die and stamped "Mom" where it would peek out from the opening.

The image stamped on white cardstock, I fussy cut the Iris out and colored with Gelatos from Faber-Castell. Loved how it turned out :)

Lastly I assembled as shown in the final picture and it's ready to be given on Mother's Day!

JustRite Friday Challenge: In My Thoughts

WOW! 20 days without blogging - SORRY~! Went on a business trip with the hubster to his President's Club event in Maui, Hawaii :) Only two full days there and about two days' worth of round-trip travel - LOL!! Had a great time with a full schedule BUT am so proud of my husband and his accomplishments!!

JustRite: April 2013 Release - Day 5!

On our last day of JustRite® Papercraft April 2013 Release, we are showcasing two Background Stamps. I created a card using Secret Garden Background Stamp.

JustRite: April 2013 Release - Day 3

I am so excited to share with you JustRite® Papercraft April Release DAY 3 with Mr. & Mrs. Vintage Labels Four and Damask Wallpaper Background Stamp to create this box to hold any momentos of that special day!

I found a box template online and used white cardstock that was stamped with Damask Wallpaper Background Stamp. The base was a pink patterned paper which I also used to stamp the Mr. & Mrs. Vintage Labels Four image on.

After I cut/embossed Frame One die, I stenciled the inside with ink and applicator for a soft blend of color.

For the stamped image and sentiment, I stamped first and then cut/embossed over them with Vintage Labels Four die for the image and Labels Four die # 2 (the smallest size being #1) for the sentiment. Then I adhered blings and pearls for accents before layering all the die cuts on the box top.

JustRite: April 2013 Release - Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of JustRite® Papercraft April Release! We have a total of six sets to offer our stamping friends! Today's feature is Floral Thank You set and I created a 4 x 5" Floral Ovals shaped card to go with this wonderful set!

４月の新しいスタンプセット(Floral Ovals)の紹介です。一日目は、花のスタンプを使ってFloral Ovalsダイの形でカードを作りました。二枚のダイカットを使って、簡単に作れますよ～！是非、試して下さいね。

I used Spellbinders™ Floral Ovals die #4 (the smallest size is #1) and Lady Bug ink from TSUKINEKO/Imagine Craft to go with the Floral Thank You set = LOVE~!

To make the shaped card, I cut/emboss TWO Floral Ovals die cuts. Pick one as the back side of the card and score from the top about ¾" in. Place adheresive on the scored area, match the two die cuts together to form one piece and it's ready to be embellished.

These are the main components of the card. I stamped the flower image TWICE on white cardstock, fussy cut one for its blossom and then dimensionalized it with 3D Foam Squares. Cut the ovals for the stamped image and its mat with patterned paper using a combination of Standard Ovals LG die #7 and Grand Ovals die #2.

To finish, I stamped "Get Well" sentiment from the same set and cut/embossed with Vintage Label & Banner ribbon tail die. Adhered onto the card front and add red bling!

KURETAKE: Easter Eggs

Happy Easter! I took some plastic eggs and do a quick but simple decor using KURETAKE ZIG® 2-Way Glue Chisel Tip and ZIG Art & Graphic Twin markers. This is what I came up with...

I brushed some Gesso onto the eggs. It took about two to three coats. Make sure you dry between coats for good coverage.

Next I used ZIG Art & Graphic Twin set of four Kind Hearted Tones purple and pink markers to color the eggs. I love how it covers the surface and such beautiful vibrant colors!

With the ZIG 2 Way Glue Chisel Tip, I drew lines for the pink and dots for the purple egg. Your tip will catch color so I swipe the tip on a scrap piece of paper and it transfers all that color off...it doesn't take much. Then I covered the area with fine glitter of a similar color for a monotone effect.

Let the glitter dry. In the meantime, I created a simple egg stand using a 2 x 6" strip of patterned paper cut/embossed with Spellbinders™ Edgeabilities® border die and adhered the ends to create a ring.

Core'dinations: David Tutera Celebrate on HSN!

Hey folks! We're in spring break and I have a TON of deadlines to finish so I didn't get to see much of David Tutera™ Celebrate (DTC) Cardmaking System on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) a couple of days ago. Lucky for me that they have samples and videos up on their site! LOL!!

For the Blog Hop, I created a card using two products from Faber-Castell: GRIP WaterColor EcoPencils and Gelatos® Color 4ct - Yellow (Colors: Butter Cream, Lemon, Mango and Tangerine). From JustRite Papercraft, I used Antique Damask Background Stamp and Floral Vintage Labels Two Stamp Set.

Faber-Castellの水彩色鉛筆や、ジェラトスを使ってカードを作りました。とても楽しいかったです！是非試して下さいね。

I stamped the flower image three times with StazOn Jet Black ink. Then I fussy cut each flower (one entire image, one medium size and one small) to create layers.

Next color each cut layer with Faber-Castell's WaterColor Pencils. Then use a water brush to blend and soften the colors. I used 3D Foam Squares to make each layer dimensional and added Flower Soft Lavender texture in the center. Set aside to dry.

For the background, I stamped Antique Damask Background Stamp with VersaMark ink and loaded on Detailed White Embossing Powder and heat set the entire image.

I love the ombre look (graduation of color - shading of same color tones from dark to light) so when I heard about the blog hop, it was the perfect technique to try. The set had all the colors to make that easy! I added each color in quarters on the background stamp...

Then I used my mini mister and lightly sprayed over the area. Taking the paper towel, I buffed a little. The coloring was a little lighter than I liked so I added more Gelato and rubbed in with my finger for the desired look. Don't be afraid to add on or take off. It's a forgiving medium to use!

Next I cut/embossed with A2 Matting Basics A die #7 (the smallest size being #1)...

Then I cut a strip of 5 x 1⅛" purple patterned paper and cut a tail at the end. I didn't like the white edges so I penciled in with purple WaterColor EcoPencil and then blended with the water brush.

Using the sentiment from Floral Vintage Labels Two, I stamped first and then cut/embossed with Labels Four die #2 over the image. Assemble as shown in picture...
