JustRite: Butterfly Kisses Cling Set Shaped Card

Today, I am introducing JustRite® PaperCraft’s January 2014 Release – Butterfly Kisses Cling Set and Whisper Secrets Cling Stamps using Spellbinders® S4-345 Picot Edge Circles, S5-019 Labels Eight and S5-148 Decorative Labels Eight dies to create a shaped card.

今日のJustRite１月のリリースは、とても素敵なデザインです。Butterfly Kisses Cling Setを使い、Shaped カードを作りました。中身はWhisper Secrets Cling Stampsを押してみました。Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft の水彩色鉛筆で色を付けました。

Inside of my card, I stamped Whisper Secrets Cling Stamps. Thought it was appropriate to include...I AM thinking about spring (buried in 10"+ of snow)! LOL!

For the butterfly image, I stamped on white cardstock, fussy cut around it and used my Design Memory Craft's ART Grip Watercolors. LOVE how it turned out - so beautiful, if I do say so myself! Heehee!!

Faber Castell: Metallic Gelatos In the New Year!

Happy New Year~! I'm up on Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Blog with my Metallic Gelatos In The New Year post! I used Design Memory Craft® Metallic Gold Gelatos® to do a faux letterpress technique on Spellbinders® 3D M-Bossabilities™ E3D-006 Framed Labels Eighteen Folder all on this shimmery pearl white card base from David Tutera™ for Darice Celebrate Card Making System/Core'dinations ColorCore® Cardstock.

I lightly misted with water to make sure when pressed in Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine that its shimmering color highlights all the detailed embossing design. See how the color stays on something as smooth as this shimmery card base!

Stamped a New Year's sentiment using JustRite® Papercraft Grand Christmas Sentiment Cling Stamps with Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pen - Black.

JustRite: CupCake Celebrations Clear Stamps and Cupcake Stand Die

Today, I am introducing JustRite® PaperCraft’s January 2014 Release – Cupcake Celebrations Clear Stamps and matching Cupcake Stand Dies to create this FUN celebrate card! SO CUTE!!

今日のJustRite１月のリリースは、カップケーキのDesignです～！スタンプセットとダイ...可愛い～！両方を使い、Birthday カードを作ってみました。楽しい～！

I cut and embossed Cupcake Stand Dies with patterned papers. To make a two tier stand, I cut out one tier and adhered together the rest. Added a little glitter and adhered each cupcake with 3D Foam Squares to the stand. Great fun to create!

Thought I'd share my recent project I created for Hazel & Ruby :) They will be debuting at the 2014 Winter Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) trade show in about a week! If you are attending, please visit them at Booth #2200 (under New Exhibitors). I altered a plain clipboard with their patterned papers from the Gone Typo Collection and used their popular Stencil Mask, Broadside Alpha 2.5 Inch.

Quick Tutorial on using the Stencil Mask on back of clipboard.

Adhere & Seal Get Typing patterned Paper with Mod Podge - Matte Finish. 

Place "Hazel," "Ruby" and flower shape on clipboard.

Apply two coats of white paint (dry each coat).

When dried, place borders, brackets and "&".

Apply two coats of blue paint (dry each coat).

Peel all the Stencil Mask pieces off and clean with baby wipe.

JustRite: Grand Thank You Sentiments Cling Stamps

During JustRite® PaperCraft’s December 2014 Release, I was in San Jose, CA for a quick trip to visit my friend (see San Jose CA Road Trip & Card Making Class). I loved that they released a Grand Thank You Sentiments Cling Stamps set and I knew I had to create a card with it!

So I got out my trusted Spellbinders® Card Creator A2 Filigree Delight die template to use as my card front. The cluster of embellishments were created by rolling S4-357 Spiral Blossoms Three die cut and accenting it with S4-328 Foliage die cuts in the back...

San Jose CA Road Trip & Card Making Class

Earlier in the month, I went to visit my friend Emi Kume in San Jose CA. She is the founding editor of "Love My Memories" magazine, a Japanese papercrafting magazine, and is credited for bringing scrapbooking to the forefront in Japan. I am fortunate to be a contributing writer for the magazine.

The first thing we did once I got to San Jose was a visit to Scrapbook Island - one of my "must go" places on my list and I wasn't disappointed :) LOVEd that store!! AND I finally got to meet Laurie...we talked like we were old friends! Love that!

On the first day, we did a short tour around San Francisco...OMGosh, it's been over 20 years since I last visited! What a beautiful city! In about five hours, we covered the Painted Ladies (Alamo Square), Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square and Treasure Island...WOW! LOL!!

During my stay, I had a fabulous opportunity to do a card making class with her Japanese students, using Spellbinders® die templates and some techniques to kick it up a notch! This is what they created...

I love how you can mix and match different die templates to layer, to ink, to fold & tuck, to stencil....so many different techniques! (Pictures taken by Emi)
