CAS So Sweet Junk Tag Tutorial by Margie Higuchi
To create a project and to clean my desk at the same time, I thought I would use supplies on my desk ;)
The framed designs from a patterned paper caught my eye so I started to fussy cut out the inside. Then flipped it to the backside, wrapped pink twine around it and added scraps of 3D Foam Creative Sheets. Simply cut a size that would fit the back of the paper. Set Aside.
With the scraps from the Watercolor Splash Glacier Blue paper, I die-cut several vines out from the Layered Leaf Vines die. Repeat the same steps with vellum and white cardstock.
A couple of shipping tags were on the table so I grabbed one and embossed with the Horsehair Embossing Folder. Designer Note: lightly mist the tag with water to loosen the paper fibers for good results. Love the texture!
From the first step, I adhered two frames using the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots. Isn't cute? Has a built-in nose guard, small to put in a pencil case and perfect for planners!
Take a few of the vine die cuts and decide how to cluster them. I used Adhesive Dots Small on the tips of the vines to secure. Once the placement is determined, tuck the ends into the twine and press down to adhere to the Adhesive Dot. Repeat on the other side. Take off the liner in the back and center onto the top frame of the tag.
Do you have any of these rolled flower etched dies? I love them. Die-cut using a piece of Watercolor Splash Fresh Lemonade Paper and roll it with a quill tip. Don't forget to lightly mist. Designer Tip: start rolling in a tight formation and loosen up as you are halfway along.
After you get your desired flower shape, secure with an Adhesive Dots 3D, and then onto the bed of vines.
For the sentiment die cut, I lifted it using scraps of 3D Foam Creative Sheet. It cuts so easy with my scissors.
Then finish with randomly adding a few Rhinestones Light Pink on the tag, and threading ribbon and twine through the tag opening.
Here's a second look at the finished tag.
Wishing you all a SWEET 2020! Can't thank you all enough for following me and if you're new, I hope I can inspire you in the new year :)
