Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Bo Bunny Blog Hop: Explosion Box Purse Tutorial

Today is my turn on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog Hop with Bo Bunny Press! I am so excited to share this sweet purse/explosion box for Mother's Day with you.

Also at the end of this post, be sure to comment through the Rafflecopter system to enter to win from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®!

This is the inside which I added layers and layers of tissue papers cut with flower die template to create a focal point with a simple sentiment.

This is the close up of the flap...

To achieve this project, I searched on the internet on how to create an explosion box purse and got to work using Garden Journal and Garden Journal Bloom patterned papers from Bo Bunny's Garden Journal Collection. E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips did the trick on adhering everything together. Hook and loop tape was added as a closure.

For the inside of the box, I wanted something with sparkle so I cut about 30 layers of white tissue paper with a flower die template, pierced a hole in the middle and secured with a brad. Then I bunched up a few layers at a time to create dimension and volume.

In a puddle of water I added a brush full (maybe 1/2 teaspoon) of Pigment Powder - Pink (coming soon!) to mix and then brushed onto the tissue paper blossom for color and shimmer.

Adhere the blossom with DODZ™ 3D. The sentiment die cut was added with 3D Foam Squares - White, Regular on top of another die cut that I secured with E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips.

For the purse flap, I placed Garden Journal Airy patterned paper onto 3D Foam Creative Sheet and cut with an ornate frame die template. Next I cut/embossed a butterfly die with Garden Journal Airy (back side) patterned paper and stencil Wasabi Glitter Paste through the die. Let settle for a minute or two, gently take it out of the die and let dry.

Added Double Dot Think Pink Jewels and then the embellished butterfly die cut on top. Place the embellishment onto the flap. There you have it! Something for Mother's Day, birthday day...really any occasion and so easy to create!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Easter Shape Bunny Tag Tutorial

Today I am on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog! Since it's the day before Easter, I thought I would share a QUICK & EASY 3D Foam Easter Shape Tag. So for those last minute folks (COUGHmeCOUGH), this is for you - LOL!

Did you know you can use many different kinds of mediums to apply ON TOP of your 3D Foam Shapes? Mediums such as glitter, foil, pigment powder, flock and more. I tried our Pigment Powder - Brown (for chocolate eggs = YUM!) and purple micro beads. Totally impressed on how the micro beads stuck on the bunny shape and love the texture it created.

April 2015 Mystery Box Challenge: No Sew Infinity Scarf

Hello! Today I am sharing an April Mystery Box Challenge that I received recently from iLoveToCreate™ and Laura Kelly Designs...this is what I got in the mail. How fun!!! They are also sharing the FUN with you so stay till the end of this post to enter for a chance to win their Rafflecopter Giveaway :)

Using Liquid Fusion® Clear Urethane Glue Liquid Fusion 2 fl. oz., Tulip® Fabric Markers® Fine Tip Multi 12 Pack and a white tee shirt, I thought why not upcycle it to become infinity scarf?! Using five different colors, I drew small hearts randomly while watching TV! LOL! This is what I created....

First, I cut the white tee shirt by cutting across the shirt left to right under the collar and the bottom hem.

Then I adhered the top and bottom ends using Liquid Fusion® Clear Urethane Glue Liquid Fusion 2 fl. oz. and let dry.

Using a piece of cardboard under the scarf, I started to draw hearts with Tulip® Fabric Markers® Fine Tip Multi 12 Pack in five different colors and direction. Did you know that these markers are nontoxic true, permanent color that are easy to use for all ages? Yup and all inks are machine washable and no heat-setting required. Cool!

After I finished with the desired design, I folded the scarf in half and tacked it together at the seams with Liquid Fusion® Clear Urethane Glue Liquid Fusion 2 fl. oz.. Let dry and it's ready to wear!

Supplies:
Fabric Markers: Tulip® Fabric Markers® Fine Tip Multi 12 Pack
Adhesive: Liquid Fusion® Clear Urethane Glue Liquid Fusion 2 fl. oz.
Other: Tee Shirt, Cardboard, Fabric Scissors

And check out the rest of designers who participated!

Hope you enjoy what I created! Many thanks to Laura Kelly for the fun challenge!

Thank YOU for stopping by! Let me know what you think of this project and what project can you think of using a tee shirt!
