Scrap-Mart: Paper Lantern

With Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities™ folder and some die templates, I created a real easy paper lantern for any fun occasion like a graduation party, bridal shower, baby shower...

Paper Lantern by Margie Higuchi
Supplies - Cardstock: American Crafts and The Paper Company (white); Vellum: The Paper Studio; Ink Mist: Tattered Angels (Glimmer Mist); Bling: Want2Scrap; Dies: Spellbinders Paper Arts (S4-347 Labels Twenty-Three, S5-083 Antique Frame & AccentsS4-352 Spiral Flower Two and EL-002 Regal); Adhesive: ScraPerfect (The Best Glue Ever)

Take 12 x 6" piece of cardstock and score at 4" and 8". Next score a piece of 4½ x 6" cardstock at 1/8" on each side. Then cut/emboss S4-347 Labels Twenty-Three die #6 (the smallest die size is #1) on each of the panels of both pieces of cardstock. Make sure each opening are aligned straight.

Emboss four 4 x 5" pieces of vellum with EL-002 Regal folder (Side B). If you have a Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, you will need a Raspberry Plate to achieve this step. Scrap-Mart.com has them in stock.

Adhere the vellum pieces to the sides and set aside to dry. Cut/emboss S5-083 Antique Frame & Accents frame die and adhere to the front panel of the lantern. Add bling to the top and bottom of frame.

Mist Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Couldn't make up my mind so I misted two colors and decided on the Pink Bubblegum (love the name!). Cut/emboss S4-352 Spiral Blossom Two, adhered on the front panel and added a bling in the center.

I used The Perfect Crafting Pouch to dust away any excess dried adhesive since it leaves a tacky finish.

Add a candle and you have yourself a wonderful home decor! Here's a second look...
