Asuka Studio: Blooming Butterfly Note Cards and Box Ensemble

For my second December's Asuka Studio DT works, I am featuring the Blooming Everyday Collection. This time I created a box and card ensemble that would be perfect for any occasion! By the way, I was inspired to create this box when I saw my friend, Shellye McDaniel, make one :)

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co. and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Blooming Butterfly Box Instructions

With a piece of 6 x 11-inch cream cardstock, we need to score with the short side (6-inch) at the top of the scoring board at 1-inch and 5-inch, all the way down.

Next, flip the cardstock with the long side on top and score at 1, 5, 6 and 10-inch.

Still in that position, cut each vertical scored lines up to the horizontal scored lines to create tabs on each side.

Adhere the tabs with the E-Z Runner Grand with E-Z Grand Ultra Strong Refill, assemble the box.

Embellishing the Box Top and Cards

Now for the fun part - embellishing! Die-cut a butterfly and stencil through the die with ink to highlight the details.

Die-cut a decorative oval shape with vellum. Add MP-59128 Rhinestone Clear to areas shown.

I also edge the square layers with ink - same with ink as the butterfly die cut. MP-58890 12x12 Blooming Everyday Memories Patterned Paper was used for two of the square layers.

For the vellum die cut, I used E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine. It's perfect for vellum! For the butterfly, I use Adhesive Lines and I gently curled the wings for dimension.

The bottom layer was adhered using E-Z Runner® Grand with E-Z Grand Ultra Strong Refill. The top two layers also adhered the same way but to attach onto the box, I wanted dimension so I used Crafty Foam Tape.

For the 3 7/8-inch square note cards, I did the same exact thing when embellishing with the exception of using different color rhinestones. A great gift to give someone :)

Asuka Studio: Sweet Forest Friends Card and Bag Set

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE~!!
Hope you all are having an amazing time with friends and family.

For December's Asuka Studio DT works, I am featuring the Blooming Everyday Collection. It is Asuka's debut paper collection that also included a set of cards, Forest Friends Cards Set. I thought it would cute to put them into something other than its plastic packaging. What do you think?

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co. and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Sweet Blooming Everyday Bag Step Outs

First, cut out two bag pieces from Bag n Tag It die set using MP-58894 12x12 Blooming Everyday Tea Time Patterned Paper. Using E-Z Runner Grand with E-Z Grand Ultra Strong Refill, assemble the bag together.

Next, die-cut the Sweet card from the MP-58685 Forest Friends Cards Set using the Classic Oval die. Then die-cut MP-58890 12x12 Blooming Everyday Memories Patterned Paper with the Scalloped Circle die. With the same adhesive, layer the ovals together (scalloped oval die cut on the bottom). Add a MP-59016 Sparkly Bubble Rhinestone Light Purple to each scallop. Set aside.

Add MP-58887 Forest Friends 2 Washi Tape 25mm x 10m to the lower area of the bag front and wrap a narrow light pink ribbon around the bag in the middle of the washi tape. I used an Adhesive Dot Small to keep the ribbon in place on the back of the bag. When tieing a knot, I used an Adhesive Dot Small. I forgot to take a picture so here's an example.

To adhere the layered oval on the bag front, I used 3D Foam Circles regular size. With an Adhesive Dot 3D, I added on my clear bead flower. Now you just add your MP-58685 Forest Friends Cards Set to make a pretty presentation!

Asuka Studio: Thank You Ornament

This is the second project for Asuka Studio design team works featuring Washi Tape and Ephemera pieces from her latest collection, Forest Friends. I am using it to embellish a plastic ornament that was left over from last year's holidays with a spring theme! What do you think?

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co. and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Thank You Ornament Instructions:

Wrap the Forest Friends 2 Washi Tape 15 x 10 mm around the ornament. I used one side to bring the tape ends together and made it the back side of the ornament.

Next, I took the pansy wreath and yellow butterfly die cuts from the Forest Friends Ephemera pack. These will be layered together and added in the front of the ornament.

The butterfly was attached to the wreath using 3D Foam Circles in small size and for its center, I added one small bubble from the Sparkly Bubble Rhinestone Light Purple pack for a little sparkle :)

To secure the die cuts to the ornaments, I used Adhesive Dots Large. These clear double-sided adhesive dots stick to anything including these plastic and washi tape surfaces!

This is an image of both the back and front side of the ornament. LOVE!

For the filler, I used colored glitters and microbeads but you can add potpourri for scent or fill it up with beads or even candy too! Use your imagination :)

Hope you enjoyed this easy and fast craft. Get your kids involved or make it a CRAFTnoon with friends.

Asuka Studio: Winged Love Note Card

Posting my design team works for Asuka Studio featuring Washi Tape and Ephemera pieces from her latest collection, Forest Friends. How are you using your washi tapes? I thought I share how I created this sweet dimensional card.

**I receive products from Memory Palette Co., Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and JustRite® Papercraft for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**

Winged Love Note Card Instructions:

First I wanted to create the centerpiece which was a wreath-inspired shape. I nested two circle craft dies together to form a ring using a scrap piece of cardstock. Next, I covered with the Forest Friends 2 Washi Tape over the shape. For a finished look on the back and to secure the washi tape, even more, I cut another ring and adhered it with E-Z Runner® Micro. Set aside.

For the card panel, I cut 4.25 x 5.50-inch white cardstock. Again, I wrapped Forest Friends 2 Washi Tape around it and used Crafty Foam Tape Black to secure it to the white card base.

For the second layer, I die-cut the frame shape from the Heart and Frame Die Set with white cardstock.

To adhere to the card front, I used the E-Z Dots® Permanent. When I am not using the Adhesive Sheets, I use this runner because it covered the intricate designs and does not leave a stringy residue in the open areas.

To bring a little sparkle, I added on Rhinestone Light Pink on the frame die cut. There are three sizes of rhinestones so convenient to have! I used the large and medium sizes for the frame.

Use 3D Foam Circles in small size on the back of the ring shape and center it on the frame die cut on the card front.

Place 3D Foam Square in regular size to the back of the winged love note die cut from the Forest Friends Ephemera pack and center inside the ring shape on the card front. Add a small rhinestone from the Rhinestone Light Pink on the heart.

Add two butterfly die cuts from the Forest Friends Ephemera pack (I chose the grey/blue and pink butterflies) and adhere on the top and bottom center of the ring shape with Adhesive Dots Small. Then center a medium rhinestone from the Rhinestone Light Pink on each of the butterfly.

Here's a second look at the finished card.

Tomorrow I have another project using washi tape in another fun way so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping in!
