Webster's Pages: April 2014 Vellum Challenge!

Webster's Pages is having an April Vellum Challenge and I thought I'd give it a try :) Did you know that printed vellum paper is a trend? Well, Webster's Page nailed it and I LOVE what they have to offer!

I used the Bike Ride Vellum Paper from their Growing Up Girl Collection...

to come up with this 12 x 12" scrapbook page called {FRIEND!}...click on images for a closer look!

I cut the vellum paper into 1¾ to 1" strips and edge with gold ink to highlight and create a textured background...

I used the Places to See patterned paper from Our Travels Collection as the base for my page. I just added shaped Heart and Arrow Paperclips from the Recorded Collection. I added a "DATE" sticker from Our Travel Tag & Prompt Sticker to complete the space.

Using leftover vellum, I used my fringe scissors to create a flower embellishment, in combination with Spellbinders® Die D-Lites™ Medallion Seven die as its base and centered with a floral pink button.

After assembling all the pieces together, I came up with this layout of my new friend, Kendra, and me at the 2014 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) trade show. So nice to meet friends and co-workers that you only talk on email or Skype! LOVED how this turned out!! In case you're wondering, my journaling is in the back of page :)
