JustRite: MAY 2013 Release Day 2!

For our second day, we are introducing Birthday Vintage Labels Four set, I thought I'd try the chalkboard technique and I LOVE how it turned out...could be a new addiction! LOL!!

You really can't see but I also used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ 3D Foam Squares to pop up the sentiment image for an extra dimension and I used Faber-Castell® white gelato for a subtle edging.

Steps I took to create the chalkboard effect of my card front: with the anti-static pouch for stamping, I randomly swiped it across my black cardstock until I got the look I liked.

Next I nested the two images from the Birthday Vintage Labels Four set and stamped with VersaMark. I stamped two times, using two black cardstock. After covering with white embossing powder and heating with a heat tool, I left one to be cut/embossed with A2 Matting Basic B (the largest die) and one to be cut/embossed with Vintage Labels Four die.

I first cut my card front with A2 Matting Basic B then added the accent image from the same stamp set with embossing powder and heat tool. Using my white gelato, I edged both pieces and rubbed the color in with my finger. Add the Vintage Labels Four die cut on top with 3D Foam Squares.

To mat the chalkboard, I cut/embossed 5 x 7 Matting Basics B with red cardstock. What's a birthday without those banners?! So I cut/embossed two of the Buntings and Buttons bunting dies with patterned paper.

Then I adhered the red mat and the chalkboard panel, giving some room on top for the die cuts. Next I used two different adhesives for the bunting die cuts - Dodz™ for the bottom and small 3D Foam Squares on top.

To finish, I added red bling and buttons on top for accents! Here's another look...what do you think?
